Scott being the killer would provide brief hyperbolic drama they wouldn't have to follow up on, and ruin another legacy character, so it may be him.

I just hope they write this better than Josh's blink and you'll miss it murder.

Nurse Gayle is a good throwaway killer, as is Francesca the weird Casino Manager who seems a little too interested in Zach.

I think Scott is a good general guess early on. Lots of shock value, audience not deeply attached to the character now (though I know he is a legacy character).

Scott could be a character people are invested in, if AMC makes the effort, but they'd rather us just focus on "heroes" like Zach and Ryan. It's easier to just keep them as the designated screen hogs and not bother to actually write coherent stories.

I also got some form e-mail from ABC blaring about THE MOST SHOCKING DEATH IN AMC HISTORY!! so I guess we're supposed to go get some cheap thrill out of Stuart being murdered. Why is it ABC only seems to get excited when they can yell at us about rape (OLTL) murder (AMC/GH), and child illness (AMC/GH)?

Well... my partner and I are hoping that whatever bullet / knife ends up in the "shocking" murder victim, passes through Nurse Gayle first. Certainly - as monumental a sorry, pathetic kiss-ass she clearly is - there must be an angry co-worker out there who hates her. We hate her just by the look on her face.

That character's audition breakdown must have read "a constant look that evokes disdain and disgust... People just KNOW she's entirely unlikeable."

By the way, good casting, AMC!

OLTL has had all three (rape, murder, and child illness) in the past few months.

Throw in mental illness, dead babies, and baby swith storylines, and we have ourselves a party.

It seems like such a waste to kill either Stuart or Adam because I highly doubt this will be well written, even beyond one month. I see him getting a similar half-assed exit to the one Y&R gave Brad and even that worked because Brad was always a supporting character. But Adam or Stuart? On Y&R that would be huge, there would be tons of returns, etc. I just don't see Pratt doing any of that. No getting Ellen Wheeler to send Stuart off into heaven as Ghost!Cindy, no Kelly Ripa, nothing. And regardless of what twin it is, this should be huge. I don't even watch AMC and I know how huge David Canary is.

I don't know if AMC is as poorly written as it was with the previous two writing teams, but it just doesn't work at all. I don't understand it. I was back for Angie and Jesse, but now even their story is terrible.
