@slick jones   Speaking of deleting, I am my own tweets when I was verbally abusive to Hulu Support.

Also, another thing in the works about the divine Beverlee, is that we're going to be mounting a fan campaign to try to get her a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award from the Daytime Emmys.

Beverlee McKinsey "City Lights" interview, said to be her most candid

This is a Facebook link. I'm not sure everyone will be able to access it but where her son Scott who is on Facebook put it up, well that's just where it is.

I believe that too. Also I am almost positive that's what the two of them thought. Something along the line of them canceling each other out & leaving the door wide open for Dailey to sashay through. In Beverlee's rare "City Lights" interview with the Canadian "Dick Cavett" Bev talks about being at the Emmys & losing & the two of them going immediately after to the nearest restaurant, taking the first table available, screaming for "Liquor!" & settling in with a bottle, just the two of them, her & Vicky (she called her) & not open to anyone else joining them, they drank & commiserated for hours.

She also credits Vicky with giving her the courage & belief in herself to play hardball in negotiations for TEXAS. They screwed up because they built it around her Iris without knowing if she was interested.

Oh, yes, good thoughts all. My personal list of "Never Won an Emmy" begins with Beverlee & VW.

@teplin  Your post 100% personifies my own personal feelings on the matter!

Here, on July 18, page 615 is where I gave the link for the "City Lights" interview & talked about it specifically as well. What @j swift brought part of to this thread today.

My question to you is whether you have any favorite Beverlee YouTube videos either AW or TEXAS?

Thanks.

If we're having to nuke lots of posts just to keep up with this, maybe it's better to deal with the common denominator once and for all.

Since we are trying to talk about star billing on soaps...

Wasn't Mary Page Keller supposed to get star billing on Another World if she chose to stay with the show?

I wonder what Victoria Wyndham thought of that.

There is no way AW would have ever given Mary Page Keller star billing.  Wyndham and Watson were given special billing (top billing) in the closing credits, and that was included in both of their contracts. So the best AW might have offered Keller could have been third billing in the closing.  At the time, Connie Ford had third billing, but that was because of seniority, and not contractual.   Personally, I don't believe tptb at AW would have even seriously considered third billing for Keller.

As far as what VW might have thought about it we can look at how she reacted later when JB tried to assert that she was now the star & Wyndham was cool, calm, collected & sure that she was still the star.

Take it up with @Errol.

I fail to see an issue with active posting by one or several users. The point of a message board is to have active discussions. As I am the webmaster and owner of one, you will never make it make sense where I should punish or silence someone because they like to post. If you don't like how much they post in any given topic, which they are free to participate in, you have the ignore button in your settings. Utilize them.

The more childish I see the board becoming with always complaining about the most benign issues, I just can't believe this is coming from adults. Someone posts too much and I that's a problem worthy of my attention? Like seriously?

I just can't. So someone who posted on the boards couldn't take the fact that someone else who posts on the boards posts too much, in their opinion, and decides to leave. Again, I fail to see how this is an issue warranting any attention whatsoever.
