I'm not really watching now but it doesn't surprise me about Kate. She's doing it because they are looking for a way to bring her down and boot her out. That being one of the reasons I'm not watching right now. She had so much potential when she came on 2 years ago. Being paired with Sonny really is the kiss of death for many talented actors.

I liked that today's episode had Bobbie, Mike, Monica and Edward all drop by to visit Michael, though they really should have been around earlier in this storyline and i'll be dissapointed if Edward isn't on tomorrow since he was still looking for Michael's room when we last saw him. And since it was a wednesday it means that it was NO SONNY day lol (no Claudia or Jason too for that matter).

It sucks. Kate and her relationship with Maxie, the whole Crimson setup, was one of my favourite things about GH. Hopefully she'll land on another soap soon. Bleach her hair and voila, Kristen Forrester #3...

wow, nobody has any thoughts on Emma Samms and Holly on this forum? I think ES looks dynamite. She looks like Olivia only Olivia is ten years younger than Holly. I am really enjoying the entire Ethan story and look forward to down the road when it veers off of Spencer Avenue and onto Scorpio Lane. Luke is going to be crushed if Ethan isn't his.

The scene where Michael woke up was really well done. It was sort of creepy.

I only remember Samms with short hair from her last appearance on GH a few years ago. She looked amazing but I didn't even recognize her!

I was a little disappointed it was Lulu who was there when Michael woke up. I like Lulu, but I was hoping it would be Carly or Sonny as they turn off the lights and close the door and he wakes up.

Why Lulu, though? They're related so it's not like Michael is going to be Lulu's next Greatest Love.

Nice seeing Sonny back in church giving orders to God. I'm surprised the Man Upstairs didn't smite him then and there.

Olivia. Can't say enough about how much I love her.

Good episode on Friday. GH needs to stick with the family/hospital drama. I did a squee at the thought of the Qs being nearby when Michael wakes up.

Small note but: after years lying comatose, wouldn't Michael have trouble speaking? I hope they don't show him jumping out of bed and good to go -- his muscles will have atrophied, too.

They are acting like it just happened a year ago -- while also acknowledging the fact that Kristina and Michael (among others) are all grown up and young adults. Lulu told Michael that he was almost unrecognizeably older just before he awoke from his coma on Friday. You don't go from 12 to 18 in a year!

Also -- physically, Michael may be 18 or thereabouts, but mentally he will be 12. Talk about hormone surge. His body is going to be doing things he is not necessarily familiar with. And how will he react to 18-year old girls having missed out on 6 years of painful-but-necessary high school "socialization"? I'm no psychologist, but that sudden culture shock is bound to have an impact.

    • In the 1987 episodes, Mary has wonderful conversations with MJ and Cheryl. This is a realistic family with believable dynamics. Mary's ambivalence towards Vince is played nicely. Denise Alexander is so good here. I don't know what happened that the writers or producers just decided to chuck it all away. I don't FF these scenes. The show had a strong family that could have had years of storyline and they did nothing with them. I really don't get it.
    • I can't speak for Sonni, but I thought Annie came off as neurotic from very early on. That's just how Cynthia Watros plays her parts, and the writing went along. I don't think Claire was mentally ill - they claimed she had a brain tumor, didn't they? I am never sure just why they made the effort given that she was leaving anyway.
    • @DeeVee Claire is a perfect example. So many women came to Springfield as competent, smart, and talented professionals. Then they’d attract a so-called “good guy,” get dumped, and spiral into complete chaos. What always strikes me is how clearly it plays like a male fantasy—yet it was written and sold to a female audience.  I'm not a content expert, but I don't think cis gendered women fantasize about losing control of their mental faculties in response to an orgasm. Similar to Holly's story, it seems repulsive, because I don't believe women fantasize about becoming more vulnerable and appealing to men after they've been assaulted.
    • I just watched some parts of an episode of GL where Roger has just been shot by Holly. Rita then admits to Hillary that Roger raped her. Kasdorf is such a fantastic actress. I wish there were more of her work available.
    • -- Alex Alegria has almost a full sleeve tattoo on one arm and a large tatt on one pec. I see no indication that the show is covering up his ink,
    • Didn't Carrie2 even seduce a minor? Ick. Oh, yeah, and she even tried to seduce Alan, but this was his post-prison era when he was trying to prove to everyone he had changed. It's funny that of all people he didn't go for it. Wait. Josh had an affair with Vanessa? Or she just thought he did? I know people always say "it's just a soap" but the way mental illness is portrayed on soaps (and that goes for pretty much all of them) has always been not great, especially PPD. They practically turned Claire into The Joker. She also was trying to seduce men. (I notice that now Mary Ryan Munisteri is listed as co HW with Ryder in the 1986 episodes, Claire has calmed down a lot. Never thought her GL career was very good but seems like she tried to course correct that a bit).
    • sss Ms. Tunie is a goddess. I feel all the anger, pride, sadness, arrogance, dignity, fear, love, and other emotions in everything she does as Anita.
    • You're right. People like me who stuck with her, did so because of her history. The show just skated her along with no story,  no goal, no aim. Right again! This is who I forgot before. When you describe her, it makes me appreciate her more. Thinking back I loved Mandy.
    • Maybe Guza is becoming Y&R Head writer and Jilly will be named EP! Remember CBS installed Latham as consultant and later Mal Young, both of whom took over the show. Of course, they each got credit during the consulting days.
