American actress Hunter Tylo has settled her differences with her allegedly abusive boyfriend after the pair underwent couples therapy.

The former The Bold and the Beautiful star, 46, filed for a restraining order against Corey Cofield last year, claiming he abused her children.

In the legal documents, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Tylo alleged one of her young daughters had complained to their family doctor that Cofield was "yelling at her and her sister and hitting them with a belt". The youngster also accused Cofield of making them do "excessive push ups" for long periods of time.

Tylo also recounted one occasion when Cofield is said to have trapped her in her bedroom and grabbed her by the throat, reports TMZ.com.

Cofield denied all allegations, but a judge granted Tylo the restraining order last May, forcing her lover to stay away from her and her family.

However, it has now emerged the actress had the ban terminated in October after Cofield agreed to seek treatment for his behavioural problems.

The termination request suggested he had "been taking parenting classes" and had "attended family and couple's therapy".

Tylo has three kids from previous relationships: son Christopher Morehart from her first marriage to Tom Morehart, and daughters Izabella and Katya from her relationship with Michael Tylo. Her son, Michael Tylo, Jr., drowned in a tragic accident in 2007.

Any woman who will let a man abuse her children should be put in jail. I never have respected Hunter but anyone who does after hearing this is an IDIOT!

Micheal Tylo should take those children away from her. Or does he whip them too?

EITHER he is beating up on her and her kids. In which case she is a FOOL who does not deserve custody of her kids for taking him back. Choosing him over her kids' welfare? WTF?

Or she is lying and dragged her kids into this in order to beef up a depostion against him. In which case she is a liar.

Either way, this reflects INCREDIBLY badly on her. She is in the public eye, on a Bell show. She needs to conduct herself with a little more discretion. This isn't an opportunity to raise her media profile.

This is why when I see in some storylines in soaps (and other dramas)

women taking back men (women) who do the unforgiveable I find it scary

because it helps perpetuate that its "OK" to take back men who do these unforgiveable acts to you. Young people

see this on the screen and think "hey its ok, I love him or her....he can beat up me or my children, cheat on me

abuse is something you just don't bounce back from. Yes, these are dramas and not reality however,

it is good to see once in awhile

when someone is kicked to they curb stay kicked, Her behavior is unacceptable

"Love doesn't Hurt"

I find it ironic that people on this board and other soap baords are slamming HT, when the many soap stories, as Cyberologist notes, revolve around women being "victims", reforming the "bad boy" aka abuser, kidnapper, rapist, cheater, etc. (OLTL - Todd; AMC - Bianca's rape, etc.) The woman has problems, I wouldn't be so quick to judge.

    • I would argue that Another World never played "everything" for laughs. Even when there were comedic scenes in some storylines there were other storylines that were not intended as comedy.  You give 1988 as the end point, and Mary was on the canvas from August 1986 to February 1989, so she must have overlapped with the despised laughs you are referring to at least half of the time she was there. I honestly can't recall any real comedy that Mary would have been part of. I don't think she was lighthearted about choosing between two husbands, MJ's prostitution, Kathleen's death, or even her son Scott dating her daughter Cheryl.  I would have said that the amount of comedy depended on the head writer and there was more comedy under Richard Culliton and Gary Tomlin in 1984 than subsequent headwriters. I guess there was an outbreak of more comedy when Cecile kidnapped Cass from his wedding in 1986, but in general the Sin Stalker wasn't presented as funny, Mitch's return wasn't funny, John's arrival wasn't funny, Reginald wasn't funny. The tone was serious even if the plots verged on the ludicrous. And maybe that's what you mean -- but I would make a distinction between intentional comedy and storylines I can't take seriously for other reasons.
    • I'm excited for us to get back to a full weeks worth of episodes and also us beginning to move into the episodes filmed once the show premiered. We're already starting to see changes in the lighting and the way certain characters are styled. Of course we know this week we have our first recast as well. After the big Eva reveal, I hope the show continues to move into a positive direction and that we see them starting to fix some of the things we've all had issues with.
    • It seems like they may have been going in one direction for Andre and then changed their mind. He had this player/bachelor thing going at first where he was messing with Dani, seemed to be feeling Eva, and then somehow smitten by bland Ashley of all people. I feel like Ashley was supposed to be the one that finally made him want to be with someone and settle. The way he talked her up in those earlier episodes was really confusing. The wonderful, amazing nurse Ashley and conveniently she's unattainable because she has a partner, but he can't stop thinking of her and takes these busted pics of her. It was a mess. However, it all seems to have been dropped. I honestly feel like Andre can go. That may be an unpopular opinion but I don't need his breathy final syllable to be content with BTG. It's always like "There's gotta be another wh-ahyy"
    • This is where McLaibey falls apart. It becomes clear that McTavish had not thought past Brent/Marion...so the energy drops and she starts throwing things at the wall (Blakes twins, Lonatrat.)   Fans HATED this funeral. Everyone is mad at everyone else, which is fine, the death of a beloved community figure would give people a reason to come together...(Quint and Nola could come together at least for  a bit to support each other, Nola and VAn could finally admit they kinda, sorta like each other) Its just an example of McTavish's mean writing.   I have a feeling they were going to make Dahlia Frank's kid but they chickened out. Making Tina a prostitute didn't help, they could have been lovers when they were young but felt society pressure to part. Marcus took over David's role (you can't have two young black men at that time...)   Get used to it...this will happen, the same storyline over and over until the end.
    • Does anyone happen to have a recording or any footage of Jennifer’s funeral?
    • It's such a shame that the conflict couldn't be resolved in a mature way between the two actors.. especially since Albee was a bigger asset for the show in terms of character and his popular will they/won't they pairing with Deborah Saxon. One of the things about Edge was that it was just as popular with male viewers as it was with women.  It's one of things I think the show forgot in the final year or two with the deemphasis on the male characters.
