LOL!

I would disagree about "looking" patrician, though. One doesn't "look" patrician so much as have it innately, as Robin Christopher does. It's that aura someone has that they are of good breeding, not a "common person" (like most of us, lol). Angelina Jolie, Stephanie March from SVU (only because I saw her last night, lol), and many others. Luner falls into the Laura Wright, or Vanessa Marcil, or Sarah Brown, or Kelly Monaco category. Nothing wrong with any of them, but they all have at least a little bit of that "white trash" thing going on. (And ironically, despite all the tatoos and Billy Bob blood vials, Jolie doesn't have that vibe at all. She's got the same "to the manor born" vibe RC has).

Oh I'd agree that patrician is based on innate qualities...but if you aren't patrician, the motto 'fake it till you make it' often does the trick.

There is only one true Skye Chandler (although Carrie Genzel has a silent cameo in Watchmen in a certain scene set in Dallas, 1963)

OMG, that was Carrie Genzel?! Cool. </nerdiness>

And I agree about Robin C. She's the definitive Skye. Granted, I'm not a "recast-friendly" viewer as I tend to lose interest in a character once they've been recast, but Robin played Skye for decades and on all three ABC shows. That's a losing proposition for anyone taking over the role.

They'd be better off by bringing Luner on as Hilary. Lord knows Tad needs some fresh options.

And just for my own edification, why are we assuming that Luner would be a recast at all?

Luner was one of the only good things about MP season 6-7.

That said, woman has been lookin awful lately. I saw her in some crap TV movie and she could barely move her face. She no longer looks like she can play the rich daddy's girl IMO, which is needed with Skye.

If she's looking as rough as everyone is saying...that's a damn shame.

However, it's not all that unusual for actresses to land roles and then get makeovers courtesy of the network/studio/their agents. This might be the case with Ms Luner.

Yall are making me scared, like I'm gonna have a Yasmeen Bleeth on Titans-type reaction to JL.

Gosh Marceline, Hilary? Take me back take me back, now I'm greedy, I want Charlotte and Mrs. Valentine too!

That's not happening. The show has exceeded its AA quota already. LOL!

I'm not a recast friendly viewer either, If I really like both an actor and their character than I have a hard time accepting recasts. If Luner is playing Skye than I will try to give her the benefit of the doubt but I think it would be difficult to accept her.

Yasmine Bleeth was FABULOUS on Titans simply because she looked totally coked out the entire series (which, in reality, she was, poor thing, glad she left Hollywood and got sober)...

I don't think Jamie Luner has fallen that far.

Most recent pic I could find of her

EDIT: Found a better one from 08

Oh boy...

Umm...first of all, my haircut and brow tweeze comment still applies. Then, it's time for some serious laser resurfacing...but we don't want her to end up looking like Linda Evans (seen her lately, holy sh*t she looks terrible!) so Fraxel it is!

Another primetime star coming to daytime.... loved her in SAVANNAH ;)

I suspect more will be coming to Daytime. It's tough trying to get a gig for a lot of actors right now.

I have a better idea: Youthful Essence by Susan Lucci. Crystals are a girls best friend. LOL.

Although that product won't do for Jamie Luner what something like Fraxel will do believe it or not it's actually quite a good product. I see patients who swear by it and really does work!

Not only do I believe it, I own it! The Queen of Daytime knows what's she's talking about.
