SOD is reporting that Rachel Melvin (Chelsea) has opted to leave the show when her contract expires this spring.

I knew Rachel would bolt once her contract was up. Cant blame her. I wish her all the best out there, she really could be a great movie actress. I could see her rocking some indie films. She sure did come a long way from the Georgia look a like.

I'm really gonna miss her. I'll admit when she first started, I thought she as horrid, but she really came into her own in the role.

I'm going to miss her, but I quit watching DAYS a long time ago.
