I would imagine that the (reputable)porn companies are very strict about HIV testing, health checks etc,

Have there been any recent accounts of performers contracting the HIV virus?

If there were, I'd imagine they would be reluctant to release that information (thereby exposing others to the virus).

I wonder, what's the difference between "(reputable) porn companies" and non-reputable ones? Do the reputable ones spring for lubricants and cigarettes afterward?

Internet soap fans can be Soo hypocritical, so it's not ok if a popular soap actor and actress on a current or past soap decided to posed nude for a magazine or do a sex tape because they would look like they are desperate for money or they can't find an acting job on an another soap. But, it's ok for a Nuke love scene on ATWT, seeing half naked guys on a soap, or a simulated oral sex scene on the OLTL. I mean, come on! whatever happened to a person wanted to do a adult film or posed nude because they want to? I think it's stupid that soap fans want to talk down on a certain actor or actress because of their career choices or what they did in the past. It's no the wonder the mainstream media and network execs look at the soap industry and the soap fans as bible thumpers and crazy.

Adult film industry isn't a bad industry that the media and the non-porn fans like to made it out to be, like any sub-culture, you always going to have these idiots (like the daytime soap industry) who wants to make their industry look bad to please the media.

I recall hearing about case of some adult film actors contracting HIV, which caused a temporary shut down in the industry. I remember hearing back then that the industry is heavily regulated for health issues, it's quite strict.
