I absolutely FLOVE Paul! His performance of that Ryan Adams song is probably my favorite of the year so far. Casey did a pretty good job on that Joe Cocker song, but has basically sucked ever since and IMO, in the bottom the past 2 weeks performance-wise. Stefanno is another one I just don't connect with- I can't believe he hasn't gone already.

As for the girls, I love Lauren's personality and think she has a strong voice. She's the one I'm probably most emotionally attached to thusfar. But performance-wise, Pia is amazing and I hope she takes it to the end. Her voice and control is amazing and she's probably the best vocalist the show has had since Kelly Clarkson. The performance this week was a little boring, but it was mostly song choice (and not style choice, as the judges would have you believe). I find Thia boring, though she improved this week. I LOVED Naima during top 24, but she has been inconsistent ever since. She brought some fire this week, but she really butchered Tina Turner's iconic "What's Love Got to Do With It?" last week. Wasn't Lil's rendition a couple years back bad enough? This was even worse! And Hayley comes off as a bitch to me too. I haven't liked her attitude throughout the top 13 competition and am ready for her to go.

Yeah they need to revamp that panel, I like them individually just no longer as hudges of A.I. Diana Ross JR problem is she thought she was a great ballad singer, she was ok. She needed to do old classic pop or contemporary pop that allowed her to shne. Jacob is really good (he still needs work). The guy who sang Smokey Ronkul is my pick ( lol don't know why his name slips me though) he's extremly good the best overall imo but the others are talented too and with the right training can surpass him there.

I loved it to! The judges didn't seem to dig it though and I'm afraid she'll get voted off tomorrow night because of it :(

I also liked Lauren & Pia's performances. Everyone else was just ok to me minus Paul who I thought was just awful.

I mean, I love Steven Tyler, but...all he does is praise people, he gives absolutely no criticism whatsoever to anyone. I find him to be useless.

About Jacob, I *LOVED* his performance last week, particularly beginning in the middle (0:58). I thought he did AMAZING!

Something about her reminds me of Sade. Weird, I know.

I don't really know all their names, but Casey wasn't all that great and it seemed like they touted his performance to justify their saving him. I still like the deep voiced kid and loved the bit with the grandmother. AI always has gushed over high glory notes, but this guy hits low notes none of them can hit. The screamer with the high hair and the fire to me is like an imitation Adam Lambert with all the screaming. He screams every week. Pia I think they overrate. She seems like just another AI performer who wants to sing ballads and sing glory notes because it always gets applause. Didn't we see her already when she was called Katherine McPhee? Or the Irish girl from a few years back who was actually a professional singer? They all are alike and none of them amount to anything no matter how much the judges insist they are the best singers on the show. I do like the skinny blond guy who sings in the voice that sounds like he is high as he sings. I forget his name.

Oh, I like him because he seems to understand that singing softly is just as legit as whoawhoawhoaing, "runs", and screaming. I don't think he can win, but he reminds me of a singer you might have heard in the 1970s in a Paul Simon kind of vein.

Oh, and Pia, you chose a song enshrined in Idol history. No one should touch it.

"Let me just say this... if I'm in the bottom three, it's not because I sang the song bad or wrong, it's because America's not ready to look in the mirror."

Excuse me??

Dude, you are smelling yourself, sitchore glossy lipped ass down. <_<

    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
