Wow! Go Heather! I love seeing her trying to reach Paul now that she knows the truth. And while I could see the twist coming at the end from a mile away, it was still shocking when she lowered the boom on Adam. They simply cannot get rid of these two characters. Paul Rauch just talked about his role as EP is to help "enhance the performances" of the actors and I'd submit Vail's episode today as evidence that this man is doing his job!

The Jill/Bill scenes were amazing. Jill reminding Billy he's not one of "the 3" was the perfect argument. Love how they've made Jill's Achilles heel her sons. She's ferocious to the whole world but she's vulnerable only to her sons.

Does anyone else just LOVE Murphy? He's such a good counterpart to Kay! I hope he's around for a good long while.

I love that the fallout from the face cream is moving slow and steady but measured with a healthy dose of Gloria reeling from it all. And it would appear that they are definitely going forward with Jack looking to have the ruling barring him from working at Jabot is reversed. Jack dug his own hole. If he didn't initiate the diary forgery, life would be great for him right now. He can't enjoy a single bit of anything good happening cause of what he did.

The new Eden...I don't really have an opinon on her which is weird cause I have an opionion on everything.

I was thinking that exactly. I'd like to see them develop it longer as kind of an old timer love story between the two. I could see them becoming smitten.

And this week has been really good. I think Billy Miller really is probably the best casting addition I've seen to a show in a long time, but admittedly I don't watch anything other than this, Days and GH.

Am I the only one that really digs Jeff? I know he's basically evil incarnate, but he's such a bastard I can't help but love it whenever he's on. Especially when he's one-up on those he's manipulating.

Vail Bloom did great the past few days. I loved the way Y&R ended the other day with the montage and such.

Michael's great. I really like the Baldwins and they've entertained me quite a bit. The twist they did with River's character was somewhat interesting and I think it injected a bit of substance and impact into the story. I kinda figured when he was going on to Jana about integrity and spiritual stuff that he was full of it.

I was impressed at how Billy stood up to Jack. I hate that Jack is willing to risk the family business so he can have some control via Billy. Him ranting and raving at Gloria will be rich considering he could find himself in jail right along with her and has pulled inumerable scams these past two years. Jack and Gloria are cut from the same cloth. Jack will blame all of his problems on Gloria just like she blames all her problems on others.

Oh you have no idea how much I want a catfight too...those have disappeared from soaps altogether. Y&R has always done such impeccable ones (Jill vs Kay at the courthouse, Jill vs Kay in the Chancellor attic, Tracey vs Lauren in the hospital, Jill vs Mamie in the Abbott mansion, Jill vs Nikki at the Jabot office and the MOTHER of all catfights: Diane vs Nikki with an assist from Ashley in the Jabot boardroom)

That said, I'd give Tonya Lee Williams the catfight. That is an actress who can throw down and cause some trauma. Olivia vs Karen would be amazing.

I'm not into the cat fighting, as I think it would make the canvas feel unbalanced- but Neil needs another male counterpart...That Malcolm-like character to bring out the dark side of any female, and produce a certain level of rivalry for any scheming female. It would be nice to see Tyra's juicy past come back to haunt her , and take a liking to Karen. A realistic quadrangle, in which Tyra needs this "Malcolm-like" character to go, while Karen needs him to stay. Give him some friends, and a job that connects him to Jabot.

Jeffery has just the right amount of oiliness that makes him the perfect con-artist. You got to luv him. I think he really loves Glo but in order to get retribution for his brother-- he had to take her down--no matter what happened.

The BaldFishes are indeed something and all of them are guilty of something.

The River twist was not that surprising. I was hoping that the big reveal was that not only was River/Lowell guilty but that Eden wasn't his daughter.

I just meant that the River twist added something to the story. I kinda figured he was guilty and it became somewhat transparent when River was talking to Jana that he was full of it, but it still added a little bit of.. well, drama to the story. Michael finds his father, gives him a chance and sets him free.. only to have been conned. And now, even if she's guilty and deserving, his mother is in prison as a consequence of her giving her testimony to help River out. It's got a bit more dimension now and it'll be interesting to see where they take it.

LOOOOOVE Heather arresting Adam yesterday.

I honestly thought the writers were going to play the irony bit, showing how Michael, the son of two criminals, would do the honorable thing and send his villainous parents to jail for justice, righteousness, and all that, while Heather, the most self-righteous person on Y&R by far, would do the dishonorable thing and flee with Adam. I thought that irony would be a great way to tie up that episode.

But this ending was soooooo much more satisfying. LOVED the pacing. I don't know what it is about Vail that hasn't had me feeling her performances, though. I think she's doing great. But her inner turmoil doesn't really translate well on her face and thus, on screen.

I loved how the writers have asserted Billy as a thinking, cunning, character. And not as annoyingly and absurdly ruthless as his dear Uncle Jack. Miller has a speech pattern that's so unconventional, it's distracting. His cadences don't seem to coincide with what what he tries to convey. I don't know if this is how he always is, since I hated his character, Richie on AMC and saw only snippets of him then, but I wish he'd stop doing that. That said, I loved his scene with Jack at the coffeehouse.

Ooh! And Victoria tomorrow!! Finally. I can't wait for MTS to come back from whatever sabbatical she's on.

    • Why am I only now hearing about what happened in L.A., lol?
    • While I agree that Reeves is Jennifer, I honestly do prefer Cady McClain in the role, as I feel she had/has a wider range of acting capabilities than I feel Reeves has. It's the strength of an actor, ultimately, for me, regardless of how I feel about Reeves' political/social views (which I widely disagree with). Plus, not to mention, they costumed Reeves like an old-fashioned frumpy farm/Moron wife, while McClain had some fashion-forward moments.
    • Wait - so no Will, Jack, or Jen at John's funeral? That’s just weird. What was the point of bringing them back then? Did Julie and Maggie even show up? I mean, seriously.

    • Has anyone ever totted up how many women on GL slept with both father and son(s)? Reva gets a lot of crap for it but she's far from the only one: Claire Beth Blake Olivia Dina Did I miss anyone?  Also, did Reva ever sleep with Phillip? They always had some "closeness" thing, but I don't know if they ever actually did the deed. If they did, then Reva's the clear winner, with TWO families covered, lol!
    • I think Long was probably planning to have Claire suffer from Post Partum, but she left the writing staff shortly after Claire had Michelle so that element didn't get explored. And I always assumed that when Claire returned in the late 90s/early 00s.. that she was realizing that she messed up by not staying a part of Michelle's life and became resentful/bitter over her previous choices.  That was my theory.
    • Jenn was a huge part of the success of Days back in the day, and that contribution shouldn't be dismissed.  With that said, I do think her and Jack's time on the show should remain as occasional visits/drop ins. When Missy returns to play Jenn, Jenn is back to being Jenn.   Jenn in her glory days was head strong, fiesty, and was a live wire.... and her scenes with Jack on Friday was classic Jenn with Jack being the voice of reason.   It was the foundation of their relationship back in the day.
    • Claire was always tightly wound, I think what Long was going to do is to throw the three into this impossible situation with no bad guys, Mo, knowing how to take care of kids from growing up but unable to conceive and Claire, who didnt know how to take care of kids and was totally focused on her career, gets knocked up.  Ryder took Claire off the deep end as a convenient way to make story for characters he wasnt interested in (though Pratt blames McTavish) with little effort. It was later explained to be a brain tumor (though why was she a bitch again when she returned?) \ Claire did sleep with Rick, she was his first!
    • I'm sorry, truly I am, but this literally made me LOL. Tempting fate, much?
