Someone must have told him that he cannot make wiretapping claims without follow-up so he must've been advised to ask that an investigation be tacked onto the Russian one.  What they need to do is ask him for his supporting evidence.  He needs to be able to provide some evidence in order for them to justify any type of investigation and if he does not then they should treat it as spurious.  He has already accomplished his goal of ginning up his ignorant supporters.

I would never have thought of this comparison but they are pretty much cult-like in nature.  The news media, however, is about as vile when they give these people airtime to say that Obama ought to be locked up for treason.

Mike Hucakbee's daughter is the down home version of Kellyanne Conway.  That whole Trump team needs a collective enema and especially after their Sunday appearances.

MTP had someone from the WSJ on their panel who was happy to point out that James Clapper said their investigation did not uncover any collusion between Trump's team and the Russians on the election hacking.  Then she turned around and said the wiretapping needed to be investigated.  Sure, investigate it after he hands over the evidence he has to support his accusation.  Since there have been investigations into Russian business dealings, maybe they have recorded conversations regarding Trump's discussions with them and that would be incidental.

I'm just waiting for Trump Fatigue Syndrome to become a thing.

All this comparing TrumpCo. and Trump Nation to religious cults does not fill me with gladness.  Like, at any moment, I'm expecting to turn on my TV and witness their Ruby Ridge/Waco/OKC moment.

Make no mistake, the GOP (especially at the state level) is still pushing voter suppression tactics while the public's attention is on Russia. Glad that this pastor and the congregation took a stand and walked out.

You may read this one for yourself, then wonder why anyone wastes time talking to these people whose souls reside in some special place.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/03/05/trumps-evidence-free-claim-about-obama-wiretapping-him-is-indefensible-so-his-aides-arent-defending-it/?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_fix-trumpaides-157pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.7b63cb9e82f6

Not surprising is that good ole Devin Nunes who sees no reason to investigate Trump's Russian ties would think it wise to investigate Trump's claims against Obama

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/devin-nunes-says-he-will-investigate-eavesdropping-claims

I'm glad I don't live in the district he represents or that horrible Issa and I am far enough from O.C. as well.

Twitter's like Donald Trump's own grave digging shovel.  I am for the moment not going to be pessimistic about his wiretapping rant coming back to bite him in the worst possible way because he needs to be stopped from the harm he's inflicting by stoking more of this hatred and the general global damage he is doing to the U.S.  He is making it so much easier for China and Russia to be what the U.S. is to the rest of the world.

Now here's a bunch of rollbacks, etc. that are going to potentially cause problems for everyone:

    • Really? But it was sooooo unrealistic. At least they found a legit reason for him to not run (SilkPress Sheila ain't no punk or joke...lol). Well tbf it sounded like he was joking. So I didn't think he was serious until yesterday. And I felt...THAT'S IT? So it's good he said it aloud to Doug's face so there was no way to mistake how the scene was played...which well I did. Seems so...simple?...given what's been at play with Doug and Vanessa.    +1. I agree.
    • I absolutely love the idea of Krista Allen being on the show. I wouldn't saddle her with Jen though. I'd create a brand new character for her. She could be a diva who lives Beyond The Gates and is gradually seen at the country club. Then I'd do a slow roll out where the Duprees don't like her and her family because she is part of the first white family that "infiltrated" Beyond The Gates. Then slowly...and I mean slowly...expand Krista's character's family as a rival to the Duprees as some have said the show should have. A younger son to mix it up with Chelsea/Kat, a daughter to maybe run for office against Martin. Krista Allen could easily be a great matriarch for a rival family.

    • They said Kate was on the board too.  I am confused if that's all new developments or we always knew that.  I really have no idea why Kate would be on the hospital board.

Then in a brilliant moment she invoked the words of Claire Labine, said by Rosalind Cash as Mary Mae Ward to Stone, near death, a now very famous quote: "Every moment of my life, whether filled with joy or with pain, has the potential for grace realized. Whether it's an opportunity to learn, or whether it's to make a connection, or whether it's to find love which you didn't think existed, these are gifts from god & to throw them back in his face is something unthinkable to me."
    • That would make sense; he is to DAYS as the Quartermaines are to GH, in terms of the hospital board. If only DAYS had a hospital worth being a board member of.

    • I think Arielle Prepetit is great, but I almost wish Naomi had been Nathan and Jacob were Jacqueline (shades of Tom and Margo). We’d have another Dupree son, and the idea of Bill being a disgraced role model for his male lawyer son would have a different resonance around masculinity and generational trauma, especially since we already have Chelsea for the female Hamilton daughter POV. Just for the balance.
    • I actually like Alex/Gabi.   I didn't mind JJ/Gabi, but I agree JJ is a bore.  I am confused as to why Brady is on the hospital board?  Something to do with Isabella, I assume?   If Rachel is the shooter the recast makes a bit more sense.
    • @FaulknerI do agree with you about the male characters. I feel like I've been overlooking that because a female-driven soap has been so rare these days.  They have some relationships they could build upon but not nearly enough. The male characters for the most part don't have any friends or family to help develop them. This is also part of the issue with having only one main family.
