I cannot wait until October ends. All of these different entities trying desperately to come up with an October Surprise and they're all flopping.

I'm not going to pretend to understand all the ins and outs of this email thing but to me, and how it's presented in the Australian news, it just seems like she made a mistake and that at this point it's just one big witch hunt.

And some would likely still have you believe that the FBI or Comey are trying to help her, even though this is yet another time he has sandbagged her in the most damaging way. The GOP must love him - the media must adore him, as this is what they need for Trump and to help the GOP keep the Senate. I don't think Trump will win, but it will tighten an already tightening race even further.

For some reason this man who gets press gushing for predicting Trump will win is getting even more gushing for still predicting it.

According to NBC, the emails in question are not significant to Hillary or the Clintons and unlikely to be significant. According to the NYT, they came from Anthony Weiner's e-devices. Hence, unrelated investigation.

Thank goodness.  I hate that Trump is so close to the presidency. I've never been more invested in a stranger's well being as I am HRC's right now.

So why the letter from Comey to the committee? And why the release of it. 3 FRICKING EMAILS from Anthony Weiners device which they only had because of an independent investigation. The emails were not from HRC or her server. So we have no idea why this is relevant if at all. Disgraceful on the part of Comey.

Frankly has the media learned no lessons from their irresponsibility in leading us into a manufactured WMD war in Iraq? And the MSM and press wonder why no one trusts them. Thank heavens for Pete Williams with NBC. Somewhere in teh FBI there are leaks probably because people are upset with Comey's overreaching. And this didn't start with Clinton by the way it's been going on for years under Obama.

Yeah, Comey looks incompetent and the media looks downright irresponsible in this piece.

For what it's worth, Clinton is not among the trending topics on Twitter but Comey, FBI and Anthony Weiner all are.

On the one hand, Comey was apparently legally bound to put this information in writing. On the other, it's 11 days before the election, he is a Republican known for lecturing Clinton in public, and the GOP is desperate.

I think it'll die faster than I thought now that the full details are known, but either way it wasn't going to change trajectory.

They have been hunting witches with her for 25 years, they practically admit it every week.   They already are saying they have 2 years worth of investigative committees all ready to go.   The thing you can say about the Clintons is no matter how tricky their enemies get they are trickier.    I think that's why the republicans hate them so.   It's a shame she has no sense of self awareness about secrets and stuff and doesn't make it so easy for people to come after her.    The whole email mess was of her own making.

They never gave a damn about that. They loved getting to ride around in tanks and make somber faces. It was a big video game to them.

This is the same thing they did with the Clintons during the '90s. It's what they tried to do with Obama but he was too smart for them (see all the desperate attempts to make "Fast & Furious" a big scandal). And we're right back in it.

This is why I don't believe that they really want Trump to lose. They tut-tut but they enable at every turn.

This seems really shady on the part of the FBI Director. To put anything out with vague information is inappropriate and it's clear to me that he was playing a political game.

You know it's ridiculous when even glorified Trump surrogate Mark Halperin is on TV saying, "with all due respect to James Comey, really?"

First arrest for voter fraud this election and guess what, a Trump supporter. Not surprised, really.

Trump mistakes a Black supporter for a protester, calls him a Thug and has him removed from the rally.
