Having exhausted all other options, Chuck will now move on to Democrats.

White journalists have been all over media talking about how black voter turnout was not up and wasn't the deciding factor in many elections all over the country.

Some people in the comments section took it bad him trying to diminish VP-Elect Harris and her role as Biden's running mate. Such flawed analysis.

It was always very limited and lazy to assume Kamala Harris was VP to run up the score with black voters. I think she was a big part of why Biden did well in the suburbs and probably a key factor in Georgia as well. There's a lot of effort to prove she didn't help enough when most VP candidates are not there for that purpose. The main problems are downballot - they will be lucky they won't have Trump on the ballot again in 2022 (and possibly not 2024), as he clearly drives up GOP turnout, but they have huge messaging problems and that's only getting worse.

Black Men's votes increased for Trump by 6 points over 2016.

Frankly we don't know how any demographic voted.  These numbers are based on exit polls when a good % of people voted by mail. Rachel Bitecofer is going to wait until she examines actually votes and who voted absentee, early, and on election days before she releases any numbers on this.  And frankly I don't understand why anyone at this point would look at any polling seriously at this point.

This is why I am not overreacting too much with the 2020 election. Trump drives turnout but they won’t have him moving forward, if Democrats can keep the enthusiasm they had for the midterms like 2018 - 22 won’t be such a blood bath.

I’m only concerned if the resistance narrative ends up losing ground and Democrats go to sleep again the way they did when Obama was in office. Trump is a last gasp of a dying electorate, but only if the rest of the electorate wakes up and becomes a continued part of our electoral processes moving forward.

The New Yorker, had an article run recently, that spoke to the fact that Trump winning the Latinos in Texas and Florida, wasn’t a big surprise she by you take into the “incumbent” effect of most candidates who occupy the Oval Office. Democrats should definitely have messaging in those places and also recognize the different pathways to immigration the Latino population has.

And how much of that job planning is Trump helping her with? She wouldn't be doing this if Trump hadn't offered her something because these sort of bureaucrats cannot afford to play games like this and remain employable. There is likely a Trump Organization job lined up for her.

Honestly, Emily Murphy looks like an SNL cast member.
