Members DramatistDreamer
As an addendum to that post I made earlier. Boy, Trump sure can pick some criminally inclined people for his cabinet.

Members JaneAusten
All this stuff is getting exposed now. Although I am not surprised, the extent of the corruption so entrenched in our institutions is frankly horrifying. Trump's blatant disregard has exposed the hypocrisy. He's the poster child for all of it. It's ingrained in our institutions, our media, and our so called free market.

Members Juliajms
So we're on the verge of de-funding Planned Parenthood. I swear we go backward by the day. I imagine this is the kind of thing it's very difficult to reverse even if we manage to elect a better leader. https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/22/health/title-x-final-rule/index.html
Members Juliajms
I admire Feinstein for being honest with these children. It's clear to me that the world has to radically change, but that we can't and won't do it for a myriad of reasons. https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/22/politics/feinstein-video-sunrise-movement-kids/index.html
Members DramatistDreamer
Looks like CNN got 'taken in' by that seriously edited video. I knew that once Bernie Sanders entered the presidential race, it would only be a matter of time before we saw some bullsh*t afoot. Anyway, This article made me giggle several times while reading. Looks like, soon, the only building on the UWS of Manhattan bearing his name will be the Trump tower. The Upper West Side’s Banishment of ‘Trump’ on Buildings Is Almost Complete “Of the 83 percent [that] voted, 74.7 percent voted to remove the signage, and 25.3 percent voted not to remove the signage,” 200 Riverside reportedly paid $1 to use the Trump name on the building. Who’s the deal-maker here? Also, this gem: “I am just glad they’re coming down — and him along with it hopefully,” said Mary Stanton, 72, as she shopped in Jubilee Marketplace inside 180 Riverside Boulevard, another building formerly known as Trump. The Trump name has no place there, she said." and this: “When a cab pulls up in front our building, the cabdriver always says, ‘Ugh, Trump!’” Please register in order to view this content Edited February 23, 2019 by DramatistDreamer

Members Juliajms
This article makes some interesting points. I wish I were more surprised, but money talks and Americans tend to be unrealistic when it comes to their ability to move up the social strata. As a whole, Hispanic-Americans are becoming politically more and more like non-Hispanic white Americans. Two-thirds of the Hispanic electorate is now American-born, and Hispanic voters are far more likely to approve of Trump than naturalized immigrants, according to Pew Research Center data.
Members Vee
That article seems like more typical right-leaning Politico clickbait on examination tbh, but that's just my take.
Members JaneAusten
There isn't any factual basis in this article it's a bunch of what if's. And frankly not a surprise for Politico but I am tired to death of all these "right leaning" publications telling Democrats what we need to do. Let them go take care of their own house. They lose in record numbers in 2018, gain just 2 senate seats in the best senate map they have had in 100 years, and of course it's the democrats. I'll be the first to complain if democrats start making assumptions about voting bases, but I;ve seen the work people in my own state did this past election winning red seats all over the state, so Politico can take a hike.
