A lot of them have to sit at the table on Thanksgiving with people just like this so by default they try to humanize them. I'm just unsure of how these types of stories actually boost ratings when network news has been on a continual slide downward. Between voter suppression tactics in Georgia and the lack of interest by some folks in voting, I'm starting think things are gonna get even worse before they get better.
