That was one of my first thoughts too.

This. I don't think anyone of good conscience could wish someone to be poisoned, incapacitated or worse, and this is coming from someone who detests the Trumps.

You are far more moral than I am. My main problem is Junior and his family aren't "the king". Not much point using an inaccurate tool to go after the wrong people. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

You're right.  As far as incapacitated, I believe that Trump Sr. is already mentally incapacitated.  The GOP is also as much of a problem as Trump Sr. and Trump Jr.s.

I really want as much of the GOP stain out of Congress as possible this year. It's as important to me that Trump's hands are tied politically (by removing his enablers in Congress) as it is to remove him from office entirely.

Proving right wingers tend to be hypocrites everywhere, Barnaby Joyce 9the leader of the Nats- the second conservative party here) has been having an extramarital affair with a former staffer and that she is pregnant. He's now left his wife and moved in with his girlfriend. In another added wrinkle in the scandal, they're living in a million dollar townhouse which he was "given  free" by a local business man and that he's declared as a "political gift".

He was, of course, on the leading people during the gay marriage debate that bemoaned the loss of traditional values and that gay marriage would destroy Australia.

This guy needs to take the hint, if his parents are giving the maximum in campaign contributions-- to his opponent, they're unlikely to vote for him.

If you're parents won't vote for you...

GOP Senate candidate's parents max out donations to primary campaign of Democrat he hopes to unseat

I remember an article about him last year that talked about how active he was in Democratic politics (even speaking at the 2000 convention). Some claim his wife changed his views and others think he's just an opportunist. He was found to still be getting money for working with Democrats all the way through 2002.

The media loves Republicans who used to be Democrats so I imagine they will help him as best they can.

Speaking of the Senate, it looks like they are trying to beg Bob Corker to pull a Marco Rubio and run again.

It's surprising to me because I assume Marsha Blackburn would win easily in November. Tennessee has been a reliably GOP state for a while now. Maybe a lot of the Republicans in power in TN just don't like her, as suggested in the article.

You guys are better than me. These people are truly evil and they deserve to suffer.  All they care is money and using it control all aspects of life.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-02-12/trump-budget-swaps-food-stamps-for-100-percent-american-food

I saw that online this morning, thought it was satire and had to read the article again.

IF it goes anywhere, they're going to have to make changes.  Institute it on a voluntary basis, see what the interest/demand is and go from there.  And since they are comparing it to Hello Fresh, participants should have a say in what shows up in the box.

Seeing how the budget deal just went through, hopefully this "innovative" assistance program will hopefully never see the light of day.

Yesterday, I was watching a morning newsmagazine program where a man who has experience working with budget directors in previous administrations (I forget his name) called Trump's budget DOA as it is unworkable.

He said that perhaps only a kernel of an idea from one small part of the budget can be the idea to shape other ideas-- he thought that was the most that can be done with Trump's budget ideas.

He said that considering the fact that the Senate already passed a spending bill that Trump's budget was too late anyway-- that is was a wishlist.

In any case, Trump's budget is getting a massive amount of pushback right now.

Who the hell thinks that a Blue Apron style of food delivery is feasible for tens of millions of people??  Blue Apron itself has problems with its delivery infrastructure.  This scheme sounds like the perfect recipe for waste, graft and corruption.

That seems to be the prevailing sentiment.
