"It's the Democrats' fault!"

Is the ACA perfect?  Hell no.  But don't blame the Dems, Mitchie-poo.  They're not the ones who drafted this "skinny" bill that made the gas chambers at Auschwitz look humane by comparison.

Straight from the Turtle's mouth: "Our friends on the other side decided early on they didn't want to engage with us in a serious way, a serious way to help those suffering under Obamacare."

Look who's talking!  Lord knows I wasn't always in Obama's corner, but it's no secret how the GOP decided on the very night he was elected to obstruct the hell out of anything he even THOUGHT of doing as President.  McConman and his cronies were set on sabotage from day damn one; and to quote the late, great Beverlee McKinsey: "if they're bent out of shape it's because, for once, somebody beat 'em at their own game."

Could you or someone post?  I MUST see the look on Ahab's face after the White Whale bested him once more.

When you read quotes from the lips of Trump's own party that some Senators were afraid passage of this latest bill would tank the markets or that words like "disastrous" are being uttered, you know it's a terrible bill!

Trump is inspiring one particular person, that person is Kim Jong-Un who has launched yet another missile.  Trump just brings out something in the Dear Leader that, judging from the sheer volume of missile strikes, none of Trump's predecessors have inspired such consistency.

Now, why on earth would someone vote for something that 1) he knows would be terrible and 2) he understands would not become law?  I mean, can things BE any more bizarre??

"Quick of the Night."  Wasn't that the name of some talk show back in the '80's?

Thanks, Wendy, for the link to the video.  Of course, I loved seeing McConnell remaining absolutely still and silent after McCain cast his vote.  (Oh, the thoughts that must've been burning in that turtle's mind....). But I also loved seeing Schumer waving off the applause.  Not saying I, myself, wouldn't have cheered, but probably not inside the Senate chamber.  There's a better place for that kind of celebrating, y'know?

Given his public stance on the Central Park Five -- which he still refuses to apologize for (because, like, that would show weakness, okay?) -- I'm not a bit surprised.

    • Lord have mercy!!! Not SilkPress vs Eva at Oprhany Gene for everyone to see!!!! Though I loved Vernon shading SilkPress. I continue to love all this fallout.   Is THAT Joey's endgame?
    • WAIT!!?  You don't want to know CM's workout secrets?  And a recap of his insta feed?  What's wrong with you?   Anyhow, today's show had good character moments.  I feel like Sonny/Laura brought it down.  I really like Tracey and Jason scenes so I think I am a weirdo.  Carly/Lulu were actually pretty good as well, but Carly's dress was some sort of bondage/leather type situation?  It was a strange wardrobe choice lol.
    • Oh God When are we gonna see this on BTG?
    • Yeah, I don't really love Felicity being used to push the Chad/Cat agenda.  I don't get the question on Xander's behavior either.  He was wrong and offensive. I like Xander.  I think Paul Telfer is great.  If Marlena did the same thing I would say she's wrong too.  Characters are imperfect and that's fine.
    • Vanessa told Joey that her best friend had cheated and has a surprise daughter.  Joey said the same had happened to him.  I wasn't sure if Joey was saying he has an adult out-of-wedlock child?
    • Interesting. I definitely think that it's possible that Jan could be a former lover of Joey's from back in the day, maybe back when he was still married. I won't be surprised if it comes out at some point that Jan used to be an escort or something.
    • Quick question, How are you guys making time to watch all these soaps? I consider myself a pretty organized person, but since I have committed to watching more of the older soaps. I feel all over the place, and can not figure out a schedule that seems to work.  How are you all doing it?   Thanks. I will check that out.
    • Oh, poor Henry had to wait for the grave to finally come "out"! The whole things was McTavish plot dictated so that Hart could have money to pull off his scam of Roger later. The fortune is totally forgotten later. Which reminds me WHY did they fire Hilliard who actually could kinda pass for a midwestern farm boy..from JOISEY Grillo? AM and Lucy's wedding has got to be the weirdest wedding up to that point and really exemplified the McLaiby cheesy run. Universal Studios? And the Spauldings shut the place down for the wedding that only involves 6 people??? Its not even that weird that Bridget and David arent there...they didn't even invite AM's Mom or Grandfather...
    • It seems easy to be empathic that if a random man raised his voice to me at the mall today, I would not be appeased if he later went and apologized to my sister. I like giving the character more to do, because there is a value in representing a person with a congenital disorder being employed, given that the unemployment rate in that community tops 83%.  I just hope they find a voice for the character that matches her functioning ability.  As for Cat, I wonder if she is going to inherit any of Clyde's money?  And that was the reason for the phone call.  I know he's not dead, but he could have named her family as the beneficiary of some insurance policy if he were to be incapacitated.  And the call could have been an attorney trying to reach her to give her money.
    • Oh you may have been watching the Teresa/Tom storyline...or "Terry the tumor" as she was called.
