His general point I sort of agree with:  she is 70 and trying to run a schedule beyond the capabilities of a 30 year old.    I don't think that is healthy.   Powell, being older, knows how it sucks to get old and what it does to your body, so  he probably knows how much of a struggle it is.

Sylvester Stallone was asked what was the best part of getting older.  His answer was "nothing".

I don't mind the working herself to death part because I can interpret it to mean she is working really, really hard, and I think it's okay to wonder about her age. But I thought the HD TV comment was tacky as well as thinking there is something going on there...

I thought he sounded sick. Not dying, sick, but like he has a cold, sick.

Updated statement of health...

Haven't read it yet, but I'm going to assume it's not going to be good enough until she releases her entire medical history.

I don't know if they worked. I think the health scare was a concern so it will be interesting to see how people react once she's back and recovered. Hopefully she gets some empathy for it. The overall polling shows a drop although the Quinnipiac poll is about the same as it was the prior week. I think they actually said she gained some with white college educated men. But Nate Silver seems to be going off the deepend today lol.

I watched two news programs and each had Doctors who looked over the results and said that HRC's doctor submitted her test results that they deemed to be quite thorough. Her blood work is very good, she has taken a blood thinner to ward against blodclots after her fall/concussion and medication for hypothyroidism which is a common condition to a fair amount of women, especially those over 55 but Clinton's blood calcium reading indicates that she has a healthy heart and the lowest risk for any future heart issues (her blood calcium level was 0).  The doctor even submitted her Mammogram results as being normal and her brain showed no abnormalities. She is only temporarily taking antibiotics (for the pneumonia that according to scans, indicates a mild case) occasionally takes Claritin for allergies, had one minor procedure to regulate her sinuses and takes B12 as needed.

Frankly, I don't know what more could she submit at this point?

Donald Trump, on the other hand, chose to turn to TV yet again. There was no full listing of his bloodwork or what specific tests he has taken but according to audience members from the Doctor Oz show, apparently he takes statins for cholesterol and mentioned the desire to lose 15-20 lbs after Doctor Oz mentioned that Trump is technically obese.

Technically obese?  I think his weight is a lie anyway. No way does he only weight 235 pounds more like 270.

But it begs to answer the question how this Dr. could have said he was the healthiest ever in the history of presidents if he's obese. And apparently it was the same quack who gave him the letter before who did his exam.

The Beltway can barely hide their glee that Trump might win this...especially someone like Cilizza who has hated Hillary for quite a while. They're so in need of a Trump win they're now even trying to make sure the Syrian refugees are pinned on her as some type of negative. Nice to see xenophobia alive and well in the "liberal" Washington Post.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
    • And in case anyone is confused; Rusty was hired by HB to work undercover and infiltrate some gang sabotaging Lewis.

    • The Dallas finale was the highest-rated episode since October 9, 1987 (Gone with the Wind). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of Murder, She Wrote was October 23, 1987 (Tough Love). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of The Cosby Show was February 22, 1985 (Shattered Dreams).
