This is close to what Romney has said for a long time - in 2005 he was disgusted by gay adoption (saying with some horror that married gay couples even had children), and back in the early 90's he was reported to have made anti-gay comments.

The real question is who is it who tells him to make quasi-tolerant statements which he clearly does not believe, and who then hurriedly tells him to backtrack?

Here is Bay Buchanan, a Romney adviser (which should tell us a lot about him, given her views and the views of her brother Pat), saying that Romney believes children should be adopted by "a mom and a dad" and the rest is up to the states.

And yet this article actually spins this as some bold, shocking position.

Many voters will vote for someone who is anti-gay, as long as it means they get lower taxes or that some "other" is being punished, not them. So why is Romney even pretending? Aside from some brief comments in Massachusetts (where he had to say these things) he has consistently opposed gay rights, and made a huge career out of this. I hope from now on he's just honest about it. It will get him more votes anyway, I'm sure, and the media will still tell us how moderate he is and what a risk he's taking with those moderate ways.

Breitbart, those honest and truthful crusaders, were trying to prove the bias of the bully story - I think they got up to someone not actually witnessing the incident, and the victim's sister saying she knew nothing of it (since brothers tell their sisters everything, of course). I wonder if there are any other "gotcha" statements on the way.

What never made any sense to me is that a lot of liberals who hate Rand seem to adore Ron. (Yes, they love his anti-war views, but they disregard his views on most everything else.)

Big upset in Nebraska tonight, for the Senate seat vacated by Ben Nelson. A man named Bruning has been the frontrunner for ages, and Don Steinberg was the favorite of the big conservative money groups. They were both defeated - and not by a close margin - by Deb Fischer, a state senator. She was also endorsed by Sarah Palin, but I don't know if that matters these days.

Bob Kerrey, who held the seat until 2000 and retirement, is the Democrat running, but I don't think he has any real chance.

We will likely see her a lot in various "look how much the GOP loves women" articles. I hope she is not as much of an extremist as Kelly Ayotte seems to be.

I'm very sad for their loss.

I just have to say that I wish the media did not have to go on about the "Kennedy curse" every time a member of their family dies. It smacks of porn at this point, and as if they are getting a thrill out of the tragedies of this family.

    • It definitely flowed beautifully. So much that I was annoyed when Vanessa/Doug because I wanted to get back to the party. I know it was intentional to build up tension and suspense. It worked. lol. I'm glad it was there in hingsight because it gave us that great conversation between Doug and Vanessa. Foreshadowing? And yesss!!! This episode was sooo old school soap giving beat after beat after beat leading up to the unveiling of Eva as Ted's daughter. And we still have plenty of fallout/aftereffects to work through.   Speaking of...Bill, Bill, Bill lol. Good to have confirmation HE was the scary lawyer.   I'm sure I will have a busy Monday, but I can't wait for it. I don't know what I'm looking forward to more. Probably Anita vs Silk Press Sheila tbh. And yes, I feel they will be matching each other 'blow for blow.'
    • And if they go there, it could also be tied to Johnny completely cutting him off, possibly going to work for Titan, etc.
    • @AbcNbc247 maybe it is just that they've gone to that well too often, and I don't like when DAYS goes dark, but I'm OK with EJ abusing drugs, and just skipping the whole sobriety part. Side note: experiencing hallucinations of my son killing me would be enough for me to never want to take a pill again.

    • Part of the reason that Courtney worked at OLTL was because the show had an actual character for her to play.  One that was somewhat different than her character on AW, and after the way she was treated over at AW.. it had to have been nice to be courted onto a new soap that actually valued your contributions.

    • The show has finally figured out the correct scene to have at the end of the episode. The one thing I loved about the show today was that we got a pretty decent length scene of Silk Press Sheila at the celebration without any cutaways.  It reminded me of an old school soap opera scene that would run several moments (i.e. Renee's long speech going after the upstanding citizens of Salem on Days in 1983 before her murder).   I think Anita and Silk Press Sheila would be evenly matched.. she would be the one person that Anita would have to work to get the best of.    I do agree that Derek/Ashley were probably cut from the episode.. and maybe their scenes will be used in a different episode.  The scenes that were included (Bill/Hayley and Vanessa/Doug) had something to do with the scenes going on at the party.    Unpopular opinion:  I actually prefer Bill with Hayley.. .they make a good couple.
