I hate to say it but that podcast was rough to listen to. I don't understand why it wasn't edited and why there was no preparation. There was a man setting everything up so I'm putting the blame on him, assuming he was the producer. You literally have Michele Lee doing the intro twice, then them discussing the format of the show and what type of topics they'll cover and you included all of that?

This should've either been heavily edited or a test podcast. They need to go into it knowing what the topics will be. I do think it got better as time went on but the lack of structure made it difficult to watch.

At first I didn't understand why Michele kept saying "Lets talk about your first sexual experience." When she elaborating that she meant "lets talk about something other than Knots," I completely understood. She's right. They should have specific Knots-related topics but still have an open section where they can talk about their career or whats going on in their lives.

I hope episode two is better put together than what we got.

I agree that the podcast was very rough, and if I weren't doing something while listening, I would have turned it off. I felt sorry for Donna Mills as she would try to make a point and Lee and Van Ark would talk over her or change the subject.  The McCashin/Lankford interview was much more interesting because they just talked rather than feeling the need to stick to some set of pre-approved set of talking points.

They just uploaded episode two of the podcast and they fixed all of the problems with it. This one has a proper intro and organized topics to cover. It flowed much better than the first episode and now I feel confident i can continue listening to it.

This had some Knots focus but mostly was about the beginnings of their careers. I really enjoyed it and hope they can keep this quality up.

Thanks for the tip! Just listened to ep 2. I guess since I didn't listen to episode 1, it felt like a work in progress. It started off rough for me and I almost stopped, but the second half was better.

I perked up whenever Donna spoke. She has the most pleasing speaking voice and the most compelling stories.  I liked hearing how Gloria Monty cast Donna as a nightclub singer on the Secret Storm (even though she couldn’t sing!) and how Donna and Michele navigated an off-screen “tiff” during season 2.

Near the end, they started to talk about having Knots costars on future eps… but then said that won’t happen for awhile bc they want listeners to get to know the 3 of them first… then, I’m not kidding, they pivoted to “What’s in your refrigerator” !! I was like, noooooo, we want co-stars, not your refrigerator

If they won’t have Knots costars on yet, and if this isn’t a full-on consecutive episode rewatch podcast, they could at least rewatch and spotlight key eps… like the first 3 eps of season 3 “Sid dies and the funeral”. Now is the time with Knots on Amazon again.

Looks like ep 3 just dropped… I’m rooting for them!

 better flow, more organized

It helps to get to know the ladies. Michele is self-deprecating and also teasing to Joan and Donna. It could be off-putting, but we see J&D receive it in good fun.

Discovered this tonight. Donna Mills and Michael Storm in what seems to be the inspiration for SNL's Angora Bouquet commercial. Unfortunately, due to bad audio, Donna sounds like she's underwater.

@Franko Thanks. I never knew the real ad that was based on. What a hoot. And isn't Michael Storm dashing. What a power couple.

I know she's said all this before, but she mentions if they bring Knots back, she'd have Abby be homeless and have to build her way back up. I could see that working (if Michelle Philips was able Anne could return and say she did it first).

She also declines to say that her beauty hurt her in Hollywood, which I respect.

I've been thinking lately about who had the better pre-Knots filmography, Joan or Donna. If and when I find more leisure time, that might be an interesting viewing assignment.

And yes, Michael Storm was handsome as all get out.

Just so long as she doesn't show up at Olivia or Brian's with an autoharp.

Kari Michaelsen (who played Katie on the 80's sitcom Gimme A Break) interviews Donna Mills. Michaelsen has been a TV host and motivational speaker for over 30 years after leaving acting.

I chuckled at their conversation about plastic surgery in episode 4 of the podcast. Donna admitted to a facelift in her 40s, Michele mentioned an eye lift during Knots and Joan said she can't speak on the subject because she doesn't know about plastic surgery lol.

I'm just astonished you have a cast of a show like this where most of them seem to get along and don't hate each other's guts, lol. Melrose Place was the same way, bless them.

    • Is that recent? She looks good. I like her social media posts about her animals and things. Someone was trying to give her crap about her relationship with Andy Gibb and the drug issues. And she replied, “You didn’t know us. You didn’t know what was in our hearts. Tread lightly on broken dreams.” Classy way to shut someone down.
    • Welcome back, Will and Eric!  They were both used so well today. I’m so glad that they’re going to be here for Marlena and everybody. She definitely needs them. And I love that we got a flashback of Will and John, and that Will credits him as the reason that he’s so courageous. Hopefully, he has scenes with Arianna coming up, and possibly Doug III. I think there’s a storyline there, especially considering what Will said about her being so stubborn and also a little similar to John. Btw, even though Chandler Massey is technically old enough to have an 18 year old child, he definitely doesn’t look it lol  And we got a Will and Paul reunion too. It really is too bad that we can’t get them full time. There’s still so much drama that can be mined from the two of them, and their relationships with Sonny and Andrew, especially now. But with Leo still slithering around, I guess it’s for the best that we’re not getting that

And I love that Will was there for Johnny too. We never really got to see their relationship on screen and I’m glad that we got some of it today. I wish their scenes had been a little longer though. There’s a lot more that they need to discuss about EJ and the rape. But I like that Will comforted him about whether or not he was worthy of having John’s name. And that Marlena was able to shrink him about leaving EJ in the square after he fell.  Eric’s reunion with everybody was really sweet too. I loved the dorky family moment Belle is still being a total douche but I like the drama of her storyline. And I do think that she isn’t being completely stupid, when it comes to EJ. I’m glad that she has Brady though, who was also used very well today. He was breaking my heart in the scene where he was at John’s bedside.  And, congratulations EJ. I think lol  But I have to say, all this talk about John’s miraculous recovery is a little tough to here And, the final scene with John and Marlena

And shakin’ me up so, that all I really know is here you come again… and here I go  Enjoy, @Soapsuds
    • I'm still hoping that Leslie turns out to be Sharon's daughter. As I think it could bring another dynamic to the show and the Duprees eventually will need a rival family.

I said Dorian Harewood on Twitter would be good for Dante Green too.

    • Could Nikki just be a big Gram Parsons fan? I think it works for Julie, but they should be doing better by Traci - none of this, from hair to wardrobe, is flattering.
    • To be fair, I don't think she was written out as much as not being written for as they had to gear up for the final episode. I'd assume they might've had the option to use her again but they just didn't find the space.
