I don't mind Ashley Jones, but yeah, the character has been written as very weak and it might be time for her to stop going for her mother's cast-offs. LOL!

Another thing, Bridget is young, yet she's married to the Crypt Keeper and she's so dang serious all that time. She needs to lighten up, have some fun and hook up with someone her age for a change. Nothing against May/December couples, just that this instance is stale. The last time I enjoyed her was last summer when that guy involved in the egg switcheroo story had that infatuation with her. LOL!

I don't mind Bridget but she's lost every ounce of personality since Jennifer Finnigan left. No offense to Ashley Jones but Bridget was never ever given much of anything to do since Jones came aboard, leaving her with very little to act. I feel no connection to Bridget what-so-ever. And again, no fault of Jones but Bridget was almost non-existent since Finnigan left and Jones took over. Bridget has no real direction, or development or characterization. That's just shitty writing.

I don't hate the character so much as I dislike the direction she's been taken in, especially since they brought her back with Ashley Jones in the role. Starting AJ off with a revisit of the "Ridget" pairing wasn't a good idea, IMO, since that was widely unpopular to begin with. Then they threw her into an instant romance with Nick, who also shared history with her mom. So while that didn't have the incestuous overtones of Ridget, it was another triangle with her, Brooke and a man, which might have brought back the bad memories of Brooke's affair with Deacon. Now she's back with Nick again, yet they've thrown the rushed instant romance with Katie in to complicate things, so it's more deja vu.

JF's Bridget had a brain and learnt from her mistakes. AJ's Bridget is an imbecile. Of course, I don't blame AJ for that - Bell is the problem here.

Don't throw rocks, but I'm actually rooting for Nicket to work out...

...to be honest, the character started to go downhill by spring 2003 with Ridge&Bridget. Then, they paired the devine Jennifer Finnigan with Brian FugYourself Gaskill/Ozzy and I really started to wonder WTF!? are they doing to this character. Too bad Ashley Jones has suffered from much worse pairings and stories. She's doing the best she can do with such material which shows what a great actress she is.

But the writing is far too conflicting for me to still like Bridget. After being a doormat for everyone (Brooke! Felicia! Brooke! Now Katie...) to trample on the only logic consequence would be a real mental breakdown.

And Ashley Jones could play that. She was beyond amazing during her CSI: NY guest stint. She totally nailed her part and gave Melina Kanakaredes (I will never learn how to spell her name LOL) and Gary Sinise a run for their much higher income...

    • She did have a thing with him in the late '90s, before she inexplicably disappeared with no mention as to why, although I can't remember if they had sex.
    • I don't believe she did. She did sleep with Simon, believing he was a Spaulding.
    • -- If I ever get sick, please don't send me to Garland Memorial. That hospital is a YIKES. -- Soooo much activity around the main nurses' desk. Do they move dead people on a gurney past that desk, too? -- 8 months for Bill to recover from a "small stroke"? Uh....I don't think so. Is anyone researching this stuff? The hospital stuff is not coming off as realistic. -- It's good that Derek and Ashley are being integrated into other stories, but it's a real stretch to say Leslie was "stalking" Ashley. It makes Derek seem dumber than we already think he is. -- Ashley spends a lot of time having small talk while she's at work. -- Chelsea is embarrassing. Period. -- Tomas is supposed to pick up the slack for Bill, but he has time to have worthless conversations with Leslie? OK then. -- Kat is destroying the case against Leslie, but that's clearly the way to keep Leslie on the canvas.
    • 6-3   I almost let my system just delete the episode just like with B&B. I am now questioning if I should have. lol.   I just can't believe that Cole sat there and started to get sick and then only Victoria off and ran off and everyone basically went back to what they were doing at Nikki's birthday party. Cole was too much of a vet character for that. And now story back off-screen.   I did chuckle at how much Victor pay Kyle dust. And now Kyle with this deal and a promise to leave town if he hurts Claire. smh. As if Victor isn't going to make that happen.   It was lovely to see Ashley. And actually (misdressed and all) Abby.    And I liked Claire's dress.
    • Oh. That. I pretend that never happened.

I did think of another possibility. Did India ever sleep with Alan? They kind of toyed with pairing them up, but I'm not sure they ever became lovers.
    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
