Back in the 80s, I remember Jon Bon Jovi saying he was a huge fan of AW.

Julia Roberts used to be a big fan of Days of our Lives...I dont know if she is still...
She still is, she mention it not too long ago in an interview.

Back in the days when she was more active as an actress her family used to tape the show so she could watch it on her free time.

Bette Davis was supposedly a Y&R fan and even wrote Lauralee Bell telling her how wonderful her acting was. Has anyone ever heard this story? Is it a soap urban myth? If it's true, talk about senility!

I don't think it was Y&R. Davis was a huge fan of GL and wrote a letter to the show. At the end of the letter, she complimented Lisa Brown (Nola Reardon), saying she "has it."

As for others:

Roy Rogers and his wife Dale Evans were huge GL fans.

Nancy Curlee (former Headwriter) was a fan before she wrote the show.

Cary Grant was a DAYS watcher (he wrote Deidre Hall a fan letter).

And basing on pics, Gloria Gaynor seems to be a DAYS viewer.

Rosie O'Donnell watched AMC.

Sammy Davis Jr. was even a bigger fan of Love of Life and phoned the show to do a guest appearance. It was the first one he did in soaps.

Oh and Rosie O'Donnell was a big fan of soaps esp. Ryan's Hope and All My Children.

And then later on, here would go on do appear on OLTL as gambler Chip Warren.

In 1992 (I think), Reba McEntire appeared as herself on OLTL, and I think they made her an old high school sweetheart of Bo. She was also on Luna's radio show as well I believe.

And of course, Rosanne had Clint (the Clint Richie version), Bo, and Cord appear in a fantasy sequence of her show in character where they all fought over her.

I've read that Isaac Hayes and Aretha Franklin are fans of Y&R. Wayne Brady mentioned on his talk show that his mother watches Y&R.

I've read that DAYS fans include:

Julia Roberts

former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall

mystery writer Brian Keene

and Monica Lewisky

According to the DAYS Wikipedia page:

A 1998 TIME article mentioned that Monica Lewinsky, the former White House aide who admitted to having an "inappropriate relationship" with then-president Bill Clinton, was a passionate fan of Days of our Lives, so much so that she wrote a poem about the series in her high school yearbook. The article compared her whirlwind experiences in the White House to a story on Days.

She also had Luke & Laura on her show too.

Bette Davis was definitely an ATWT fan.SOD had a series in the 80's interviewing celebs into soaps and MS Davis praised the show and the actors, particularly Kathryn Hays(Kim)

Tallulah Bankhead was a fan of EON.Any posters who don't know Tallulah should google her immediately!!

Aretha was into Y&R and wanted to make an appearance.Bill Bell suggested a part in the Nina/Molly teen pregnancy story but Aretha wanted something more flashy.

Liberace was a Y&R fan and later appeared on AW.

Jimmy Carter's mom (can't think of her name)was a big AMC fan
