Members DRW50
Does anyone here get that channel? If so can anyone put the episodes on Youtube? Please?
Members danfling
"According to WLS, The Doctors will debut on September 29th. They'll start from 1967, the year the show transitioned to color." I thought that NBC was the full-color network long before 1969. Since the show was taped inside the main NBC home, I would have thought that it was be one of the first shows broadcast in color.

Members DRW50
Great to see some of Peggy Cass. I've always wanted to see some of her work on this show. I thought Mel looked familiar. Robert Burton was on For Richer For Poorer. He and Jada Rowland do good work here. I'm just glad they didn't "redeem" him or have Carolee fall in love with him, like a soap would now. What he did was brutal and dehumanizing and not presented as anything else.Rowland really is superb.I think Doreen could have been a fun villainess if this wasn't so ugly.Really strong scenes throughout this - I should mention the Maggie/Steve scene too.The opening and closing theme are poignant and appropriate for the tone of the show. It's too bad they didn't have higher ratings at this point. The quality is good.
Members Khan
Wow, Doreen referenced Ann Larimer! That would never happen on a soap today!

Members slick jones
Does anyone know anything about the character Laura, the storm volunteer that kidnapped Maggie for getting her kicked out of a nursing program? Was she played by an actress that has done other shows?
Members amybrickwallace
All I could find out about Maggie/Laura was that the storyline with them aired sometime in 1980. I'll try to find out more.
Members danfling
Was this before or after Doris Quinlan was the producer of The Doctors? I had heard that she hired Kathy Glass to be on the show, and her name is in the credits.
Members amybrickwallace
From what I read (Wikipedia, so take that for whatever it's worth), Doris Quinlan was EP of TD from 1979-81. Kathy Glass played MJ Match from 1978-81.
Members Paul Raven
Yes, Kathy Glass preceded Doris Quinlan. Quinlan did bring on Nancy Pinkerton and Doris Belack, both of whom she had worked with on One Life to Live.
Members amybrickwallace
Who was the longest-running "Dancy" - both character and actor? Frank Telfer as Luke Dancy? How many Dancys were there - and which year was the family introduced? Was it '75 or '76?
