The new Moons have finally been cast (THEY ARE EVERYWHERE OH NOEEEZZZZ!!!), and while rumors of Gary Lucy and Matt Willis kept up, they went for two lesser known actors. One of them reminds me of the gorgeous Jake Hendricks.

I do wonder about that. Wasn't there a rumor one was for Jodie?

Some are saying they're just like Danny/Jake. Others like Phil/Grant.

It's so tough for Eastenders to introduce new characters, especially in this age range.

Today's episode; goodness it's always so refreshing when we get these scenes focused on the dysfunction of the Brannings, especially with Carol involved.

Rainee is quite clingy, I hope though the show becomes interested in changing that, over time of course. I really like the actress.

I don't think they ever quite knew what to do with the original E20 gang. Fatboy only really caught on when he became friends with Dot, whereas the others were really isolated and had no real involvement with anyone else.

I'm sorry they had to let her go. I still remember how she quietly and easily stole E20 from the marble-mouthed, posturing, old-looking Zsa Zsa, who was groomed as being their new Stacey knockoff. Mercy had a real spark in that E20 and was a much-needed contrast to the usual wooden shouters like Zsa Zsa and Lucy. After that it never quite clicked, perhaps because the young women on the show now are much quieter and more introspective, like Mercy. They also never bothered to integrate her into the cast, as they have not done with any new characters in many years.

I wonder what they will do with Fatboy. They seem to be struggling there.

Fatboy will probably move in with Dot, once Jim leaves and Mercy and Grace depart.

They need to show more of Dot's friendship with him though.

Maybe he'll be there to help her though sending Jim off to a nursing home.

They still have the casual scene here and there, but I guess they can always explore it more and build upon it.

I'll miss Mercy. So with her and Darren gone, that leaves Jay, Ben, Abi, Lauren, Jodie, Tamwar, Afia, and Fatboy as the teen/youth set? That's awkward as hell.
