Wow I guess Charlie really did want to leave.

I will miss Darren, even if he isn't exactly a fantastic character - soaps need those type of goofy supporting figures who sometimes have lead story. That's what US soaps lost when they began dying out.

(and he also had a nice ass)

I wish they'd keep him around, he had a very menacing yet subtle presence that most soap villains haven't had in a long time.

If they can't keep him then I wish they could find the guy who played Sam Owen's friend Andy on Hollyoaks. He was fantastic - charismatic, menacing, attractive, evil.

To me they are carrying a lot of the show. While I don't see the show as being in dire state or the worst ever, in spite of the usual DS hysteria, I do think that the Masoods are a major asset, and I'm glad they have finally made Syed viable (I know some will say he's always been great and I can understand what they feel but I couldn't stand him until recently).

Lifting my post from the BSA thread, since I'm a doofus! LoL

I can't make sense of Ian and Jean in my head. Is she that dumb to actually believe he's actually a nice guy? I hope if they do get together eventually, she'll transform him into a human being again. However, I'm more than ready for Laurie Brett to go on her maternity leave so Ian and Jane can be over officially.

And tonight was a huge reason why I despise Big Heather. What a twit. And I still haven't warmed up to the new Ben. I greatly disliked the previous actor as well, but whatever this current one is selling, I'm not buying. At least this Abi romance has saved Jay for me, for the most part.

Yeahhhh nuBen...I keep getting the sense that show wants to do more with his bullying storyline, that perhaps Ben will turn out to be gay, and the guy that is bullying him actually is attracted to him. But I can't tell heads or tails of the story so far. Abi and Jay are a cute couple, I can't believe the show has made me like Jay of all people.

My interest with the Ian storyline didn't pique until the end of the show when Jane vowed to fight Ian. Since I started watching back in Sept. 2010, I haven't seen a feisty Jane, so I hope the story stays on its current track, without Jane reverting to her usual weepy self.

I'm loving Lydia's interaction with the cast. Loved her ordering around Ricky today

Thanks for sharing this. I'm not a big fan of that clip they chose, but I liked the interview. Paul O'Grady can be a little pushy but he's also able to put his guests at ease.

I never knew Charlie Brooks was on a show with Jane Danson.

It's always nice to hear Charlie talk about Janine, although I do think Janine cares what people think - she just doesn't like to show it.
