A few more Love of Life character questions: Does anyone know the stories for these characters?

Greg Keyes(Robert Aberdeen)

Al King(Ed Bryce)

Augusta Roulland(Natalie Schaffer)

Susie and Danny Ryker(Danielle Cusson and Robert McCone)

Sarah Sprague(Zoe Cannell)

When Felicia Lamont died, she had had a child by Edouard Alaeta that was being raised by Charles Lamont. Was the baby called Charlie Lamont? Charlie Alaeta? or Charlie Fleming(Felicia's maiden name)?

Any info is welcomed, thanks in advance...

Apparently LOL had a trial color broadcast in 1954.

LOVE OF LIFE Network: CBS -TV Director: Larry Auerbach Producer: Richard Dunn Writer: John D. Hess Executive Producer of Color: Richard Lewin On Air: Mon. FrL, 12:15 -12:30 p.m. Color - cast, Sept. 8 only. Star: Peggy McCay Sponsor: American Home Products Corp. Agency: Blow Co. Production Costs: $8,500 gross weekly

IF COLOR is going to add anything to tv's day time serials it will be in displaying the clothes of the female characters to the predominantly feminine audience. In the Sept. 8 colorcast of Love of Life the gowns of the heroine, her sister and her best friend certainly showed up more attractively in color than they would have in black -and- white. The addition of color did not extend the action of this installment of the drama, which utilized the entire 15 minutes to introduce the brother of the hero, a surly individual who is obviously "up to no good" and who seems likely to interfere with the plans of his brother and the heroine for an early marriage. But experience has proved this to be just about the perfect pace for a daytime drama and it doubtless would be unwise to let the addition of color disturb this basic factor. No soap opera fan, this masculine reviewer sees little likelihood that color will do anything to change his attitude. And he's sure the sponsor couldn't care less.

I think Frances Fuller's Aunt Carrie was Tess and Mickey Kraukeur's aunt. In Max Wylie's book "Writing for Television," he includes a June 1969 script where John Randolph tells Bruce Sterling Tess was moving back in with Aunt Carrie. In the storyline projection, it states that Aunt Carrie worked for Mickey at one point. Also, Carrie ran the Potting Shed with Sarah Dale.

Okay, thanks DC! Now I have a couple small questions about characters/ how they fit in the families.

Was Anna Krakauer Tess/Mickey's mother? Did she ever have a story(even a love story) of her own?

Was Laurie Krakauer Mickey's wife? If yes, was her family(maiden) name known?

How did Jeff Carlson fit into the Carlson family?

Thanks for the info!

I am Jean McBride's niece and am sad to report that she passed away last night after a long illness. My family has been honoured to have had the privilege of knowing Jean and she will be missed beyond measure. Some years back I showed her this discussion thread and she was tickled to see that she was still remembered. She lived her life with all the dignity and grace one could imagine from such a facing ting woman. Thank you for remembering her.

I'm so sorry to hear that but I'm glad to hear she got to see this thread. I hope she got to see some of the articles as well. She was a great actress - she truly shone in the old episodes remaining of her Meg. I'm sure she was very proud of you.

    • This show treats Claire like a glorified extra prop not the granddaughter of the 2 biggest supercouples this show has ever had. I don't think was ever invested in Claire nor writing for her & her connections to majority of the town. What a waste of a legacy character with so much potential
    • Kim Zimmer could have had a nice career as a supporting actress in Hollywood, but that does not appear to be what she wanted. That's fine, but in the eighties, she was not going to have many options as a leading actress. The eighties were brutal for a performer like her.  Her one big film role lasted a minute or two. Even while she was on GL, she should have been doing episodic television. Was her agent that incompetent or was she just bad at auditioning? Her episode of "Designing Women" was quite popular and was discussed at the time for its subject matter, but she never followed up on it. It's bizarre to me.
    • Billy just showed up for Vanessa's memorial (Sept 9, '96), which is so nice!  My first time seeing him like this outside of random clips from the past. He's out of jail for 24 hours, so not long. It's good to see him with the family.
    • Definitely was more recent than not; when the set originally returned, the change hadn't happened.
    • It was nice seeing Victorias house and I see it’s been remodelled. I’m sure this happened awhile ago but since I tuned out from the show for so long I am only noticing it now. Looks beautiful though!  Also, Billy and Sally gross me out so much. I don’t know what it is I hate so much about them. They give me the ick. Definitely a mismatch. I don’t buy that these people would be attracted to eachother in real life much less have a relationship..

    • Also, isn’t there supposed to be a storyline with Mariah and Tessa? Mariah cheating or something (keeping some kind of secret) and they were only on screen 2 and 3 times this month. Like what? How am I supposed to care when I barely see them?
    • Definitely wouldn't trust Dinah right now haha.  But that's great to know Billy comes back soon!  I'm excited for that. If he's at the boardinghouse, then I guess he does get closer to Nola perhaps, and then he'll be around Peter/Bridget and J, who is currently in his orbit along with Michelle and Dahlia, and Marcus is at the boardinghouse, so maybe they go the teenage story route most of this time until Billy gets back.
    • Sounds like me, but I prefer to be referred to as Contessa. We all know I can go a long time not paying attention to certain things.  And, if I might add, hey there dude, you effed up pretty good this time and I think this was your last chance. So don't let the door hit you in your behind as you go BYE MOMMY!
    • That did cross my mind at first, but I'd be more inclined to believe it if this didn't involve Trump. I'm not at all sure he is capable of being that sneaky. Of course, there's always a possibility I guess that his advisors are doing it without telling him, but that seems awfully risky. Trump is such a loose cannon you can never predict what he's going to do or say.
