I would like to see more also-just to see how many other mistakes/innacuracies there are!

Jamie Lyn Bauer as Jennifer Brooks!!

Who did the research for this show??

Not only did it get this completely wrong,it also intimated that Bauer had played Laura on Days previous to Y&R.

Then,we get Bond Gideon mentioned as Dickson's replacement-true-but she only lasted a few months before Debora Adair came in and made the role her own.

Of course Brenda Dickson is on screen-that woman would do anything to get on camera-stating that when she returned,Jill was no longer the innocent she had been.

Did she forget Jill's marriage to Stuart and all the conniving regarding Derek/Kay??Obviously the surgery has affected her memory!!

The narrator also states that the cast was rounded out with daytime vets-not true-only Robert Clary had been on a soap before.

Did Bill Bell really want the show cancelled after a year? I thin he would have known from experience that shows need time to build.

Also,it made out that Jeanne Cooper's arrival was the reason for the ratings boost. That was part of it,but also Lorie Brooks arrival and the stories bulding momentum were responsible.

I could go on-but it shows what a cheapjack operation E! is and what little respect there is for daytime.

They were ulta-hot together: Dickson playing beyond camp a vamp deluxe together with the sinister Mr. Lester. Fabulous.

Unbelievable that their successors make an equally hot twosome. How I miss those days. Jack and Jill's flirtatious arguments at Jabot. Arrrr!

Memo to MAB: Jill, a story, not about Gloria, stat!

Brenda cried her eyes out.......when it aired Bill Bell called Brenda and asked her why she didn't cry.........Brenda told Bill she did cry and that the West Coast producers edited out her tears/crying.

Phil Morris had a breakdown on set.....then Bill Bell ended the storyline.

    • That makes sense. Rauch did like to play games, as shown with some of the antics with the Labines. We should make some screencaps.  I can imagine her not being thrilled by much of anything in 1996.
    • I believe he also turned out to be Doug Cassen's son. I could be wrong about that. Yeah, he doesn't get talked about much in the history books.
    • Cady McClain said the same thing with her hairdos - she switched it up so much because she was either unhappy or bored.  Kim must have been unhappy in 1996 because she has so many different short styles, it's wild (haha).
    • She definitely was trying new things with her hair and makeup in the 1986 scenes I saw so it tracks. Rauch wouldn't have been there, but it just strikes me as a conversation Rauch would have had with her with when he was at GL. Rauch loved to badmouth JC. So she put it in the book as if she had been told at the time. It's like how she has Michelle Forbes on GL years before she actually arrives or Ellen Wheeler firing people who had been fired yrs. before by Rauch or Conboy.
    •   From what actors have said, Y&R has been very busy taping the upcoming storyline, and that was up to and including the week of Diamont's party, and after.
    • Well, a good number of sets were up when I was there, but there was a limited number of people around. Even Y&R seemed dead, but maybe everyone was out for lunch at the time? I remember driving from the parking lot and preparing to enter the roadway when I saw Michelle Stafford and Christian LeBlanc returning from what I think was their lunch break. Not sure where they went or were coming from.
    • A scene I cannot wait to see. Julie Harris as Liliemae is the gift that keeps on giving; she's not outright evil, but frustrating, and in her own way, still pretty lovable.
    • Kim used to say that you can tell when she was unhappy because she would try weird or new things with her hair.  I don't think Rauch was at OLTL at the time Zimmer was but their producer at the time probably wasn't much of a peach either.
    • I wonder if less set use was preparing for the move. They probably were preparing for this for awhile now
    • The early part of the season is decent. After that, Season 9 is one of the worst seasons until season 13. Season 10 is a little worse.    That would have made sense, even if it cost us one of my favorite scenes (Ben putting Lilliemae in a headlock). That's an excellent storyline and leads to the show's last strong season finale.
