I had the Price Is Right on in the background the last few days. A contestant said they were from Santa Barbara, and Drew said that was a soap opera. People still remember!

This was a cute montage to Todd McKee/Ted. I never understood why they dropped the Ted/Laken "Romeo & Juliet" arc, which had tons of mileage had they stuck to some of the stories projected in the bible. Phasing out the Lockridges (minus Lionel) and other families who rivaled the Capwell along with being too Eden/Mason/Kelly heavy plays a pivotal role in why the show had a hard time past '88. From what I've seen, Ted always got the scraps. I wish that they would've used that had Ted become the jaded Capwell who Mason previously was. That might've enticed TM to say in the role longer.

Rest in peace to Eric Preven. Sixty-two is so young to die! That ending was nice...until Paul Rauch had to ruin it.

Part of the reason was because Laken was played by a subpar actress when the show debuted. The show did try to revive the Laken/Ted thing when she was recast later on, but the actress wasn't able to make much head-way with the various 180's her character was written.

You can feel all the emotion with Todd McKee in that last scene, as there's no reason for Ted to be so emotional. I wonder if he would have stayed if they'd done anything with the character.

I'm glad they at least brought the character back for the final year.
