I didn’t either. Maybe because they kept having to her go on about how she was glad she didn’t have to do this alone when she found out Julia was pregnant and she was the one who chose to lie to Cruz. Then when she figured out Mason was Julia’s baby daddy, she went off the deep rail trying to ensure that Mason had nothing to do with the baby and would offer no financial support to her.

Her exit was leaving town for an acting job. It sounded temporary but she never returned. Her character was disliked but I think that’s expected when you come on as a foil for the show’s most popular couple and then she had the bad luck of Mason/Julia becoming popular since they turned her into the spoiler when it was supposed to be the other way around. Fans of Cruz/Eden and/or Mason/Julia made up a good portion of the audience. I also think she, like many others, floundered once she was moved away from the Capwells. The writers quickly lost interest in characters once they left that sphere.

That is true. I do like that I have seen Lane do a few snippets of Shakespeare because of Tori. However, the character is just AHHHH- I want to smack her. I just saw the episode where she finds out about the baby contract, and she screeches Mason you're disgusting! And I'm like uh- you're a rapist, so are you really wanting to say,  I'm not good enough for you.

I think perhaps people hadn't let go of Augusta, so Caroline never stood a chance.

I'm really not enjoying the mystery illness, fever, virus with the special serum storyline. Maybe because of well, you know...

    • It was a good episode. I didn't expect things to unravel so soon.   One thing I still don't like about these big events: Where was everyone else?   This is a big event. Everyone should've been there.
    • Mitch, thanks for that history of the Reardon Boarding House kitchen.  I had always assumed that every time the kitchen set returned, it was a recreation of the original set.  So I have been wrong about that.   Was the kitchen set ever used later, while Buzz and the Coopers owned the boarding house?

    • Do they ever do anything well?  The show is about 4 week story arcs - if that it feels like.  Why wouldn’t you spend a month of subtle hints.  Late to events and don’t telegraph it.  Have repeated issues with time; I had a friend whose Mom suddenly was forgetting half the meal in the fridge to be heated for a meal; twice her husband had to go to her work to get her because she was still working and only noticed no one was there until he walked in to find her and make her come home (it was a doctor’s office, there’s not that kind of job);  knowing she had an appointment and not be worried by it, etc.   No, they have him do a head bonk and bam it’s cancer.     It’s almost an insult.
    • I know that's right Queen.

    • Today showed why almost no one comments on this crap soap. -- We're back to pretending that there aren't SCORES of cosmetics companies out there --  only Jabot and whoever else opens up shop in Genoa City to be the competition. No real business runs this way. -- Marchetti is supposed to be an internationally-renowned fashion house, yet both Chelsea and Sally are ready to walk after being high-level executives there. -- It's not often women leave choice executive positions in their field of expertise to work in a business they're clueless about. -- Sally had a lot of nerve shading Chelsea with "It's easy to see Adam's influence on you" when the same damn thing is happening with Billy. -- I'm glad Lauren told Michael to quit, since we've all been mouthing that for weeks. None of that story is helped by CLB's over-the-top acting. -- The scene with Victoria helping a sick, coughing Cole walk to their car on the way to the hospital was laughable. Wouldn't rich people call a damn ambulance? -- Claire was really concerned, wasn't she? She stayed in the doorway instead of helping her mother, and then headed right to Crimson Lights for coffee. Why bother with checking on her possible terminal father at the hospital?
    • Leslie couldn't get her Clair Huxtable evening dress for prom, but she finally got it now.
    • Lol!  Why?  Just sincerely asking not judging.  It did have a lot of action happening I suppose.
