November 14, 200718 yr Member It's no secret that OLTL was going to recast Michael. According to Soapnet.com, Chris Stack will enter the role on December 3rd. http://soapnet.go.com/news/news_oltl_mmcbain.html

November 14, 200718 yr Member I'm gonna miss NM in the role. Although the months of Michael's continual freakouts and agitation over the paternity secret got to be a little too much for me, I did enjoy the sort of earnestness and "average guy" quality NM brought to the role overall. I hope he'll be okay and gets whatever help he needs.

November 14, 200718 yr Member I don't think he'll be on long. I think Michael will be written out just like Dimitri on AMC was following the unfortunate incident that was Michael Nader's entire career.
November 14, 200718 yr Member there is no need to recast this worthless character. OLTL has a great out for him with the way the writing is and he's easily expendable by going to jail for his crime
November 14, 200718 yr Member Well, if he's not he should be...Kathy Brier is a very beautiful actress. Exactly, and Marcie's one of the 2 that I still like from that show. The other one's gone.

I'm positive that the Michael's exit from Llanview would have already been scripted if it hadn't been for the writer's stike. Under the circumstances, OLTL had no choice but to recast. However, once the strike is over or another writing team is hired to temporarily take their place, we will continue to see the new Michael.

I think Michael will be written out just like Dimitri on AMC was following the unfortunate incident that was Michael Nader's entire career. To be fair to Nader, he's had amazing chemistry with his two leading ladies (Joan Collins on 'Dynasty' and Susan Lucci on AMC). I don't think anyone could have filled those roles better than he did.
November 14, 200718 yr Member I think Michael will be written out just like Dimitri on AMC was following the unfortunate incident that was Michael Nader's entire career. It was not unfortunate what Nader did. He used drugs and got caught and, I believe, was arrested earlier in his career for drug use. That should have given him a clue to kick the habit, so to say, and focus on getting healthier. Thankfully his ridiculous lawsuit got thrown out of court.
