How sad. The stylist who worked on Serena’s Vogue cover story passed away. Vogue was her last job.

Rennae Stubbs is coaching Serena for the USO.  I don't care if Queen doesn't make it out of R1, I love this!

She instructed Serena to not practice with hitting partners.  Instead, practice complete matches with actual players.

Usopen.org has coverage of players on the practice courts.

Thanks. I caught a glimpse of Whitney Osuigwe and Hailey Baptiste having a practice set.

There was a time when the US Oen used to stream all matches until ESPN found out and swallowed streaming rights. Why can’t the US Open website be allowed to stream qualies? Is there an actual benefit to shoving qualies onto ESPN News, a channel that many people don’t have?

I have no idea. I use to watch the qualifying on their website.

This was tonight but only shown on YouTube.

I have never paid a lot of attention to the qualifying matches other than seeing what the results are afterward.  But - I tuned in to ESPN news and saw the matches are (supposed to be on?)??  I thought we were between matches or sets or something, and I pull it up on my laptop or phone and see....nope, matches are going on.  Currently being played.  But we have a panel of Chrissy, Alexandra Stevenson (don't get me started), and all the usuals....sitting around TALKING about the qualifying matches and the US Open draw, etc. etc.  WHILE MATCHES are GOING ON??? Guys, like....why don't you just throw up the match or matches goin on on the screen, and yammer away with whatever you want.  But at least throw it up on the screen???  What the hell?  Nope....just people chatting.  While the matches are going on.  ??? LOLLLL How useless.

Alexandra Stevenson sucks!  She's terrible! I cringe every time she speaks about tennis.
