I don't think I've ever seen the two you're mentioning...Morris and Rudd? I would have no idea that Tennis was even on... And I keep thinking about this. Remember when Figure Skating blew up? Harding vs. Kerrigan and all of the popularity...and immediately after for a few years. I remember them talking about it at the time, and commentators saying it was the best time to be a Skater...girls and guys postponed their lives, education, etc. for Figure Skating because it was so hot...and this popularity changed the sport and it was 'here to stay'. I don't think anyone ever thought it would end up crashing the way it has now. Still has its fans but not anything like it was, unless you are a HARD core fan of skating. Tennis is reminding me of that now...how the big 3 was the story...the Williams' sisters the big story. Now that they're pretty much gone, the sport isn't the same - it's having the opposite effect to me just like Skating. Interesting to think about.
