Members Soapsuds
LOL at Thiem's young fan. I can't believe people were actually wishing Matteo would win because of it. Some blaming Thiem for not doing anything. Others blaming the photographer. Someone said he wanted the picture alone with Thiem so later he could get it autographed....LOL Some didn't blame the young fan for doing it...LOL. The look on Matteo's face is priceless....LOL Of course others said he wanted a photo with his idol....thats cute. As for the Rafa moves....he was doing a lot of Vamos but not out loud like Rafa does. Glad he beat Matteo because he took Thiem out two weeks ago in the QFs in Shanghai.

Members DramatistDreamer
With the WTA being staged in Shenzhen where war games and military maneuvers are being staged in response to the protests in Hong Kong, and now John Isner, MAGAt playing in KSA, no one can tell me that sport and politics don't intersect, because they clearly do and always have!

Members Soapsuds
Ha...a young Thiem who beat Muster. Muster was there today during the finals and so was Melzter. Rumors going around is that Muster wants to help coach Thiem....hmmmmm....wonder if its true.
Members DramatistDreamer
Seeing snippets of this match (on breaks) between Halep and Andreescu and realizing how Bianca was, at first, thoroughly walloping Halep and how Simona has by degrees, proceeded to wear down Bianca in the second set and just clicking back on to see Andreescu on the floor getting medical treatment gives me the distinct impression that Bianca is the type of player who will be beset by injuries over the course of her career. She's only a teenager still and has already spent a significant amount of time on the DL. I don't expect that to improve as she gets older. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up spending swaths of her career out injured in between the successful runs. So apparently, Simona decided she wanted "in" on the MTO attention too and decided to take one virtually at the same time. These girls. Members Faulkner
Simona saving that match point was pretty darn amazing. So many shots in that rally could have gone all kinds of wrong for her. Just saw the handshake. She did none of the fawning she did when she lost to Naomi. She was pissed about this match, maybe because her body was breaking down.

Members Soapsuds
Karen loses in his opening round match and loses all 1000 points from last year after winning the tournament. He drops from #8 in the world to #16. He may drop further depending on how others do in the tournament.
Members DramatistDreamer
Probably due to the time differences and the politics of the location, I can't get invested in this WTA Championships. Bertens just beat the new #1 after barely getting in from the Elite Trophy tournament in Zhuhai. She has a good chance to win it now too, lol. And the courts are slow as hell. No wonder Osaka pulled up lame.

Members Soapsuds
Wby is Novak letting another man take pics of him in his undies?...lol. Is he trying to garner Roger and Rafa fans? At least he is endowed...because his body is blah. And people have the nerve to critique Thiem which he knows already. It doesn't seem to bother him.
