Interesting after just one game and Matteo has hit every backhand in the net.

Matteo looks like his about [!@#$%^&*] in his shorts. He looks so tight.

Considering that Djokovic is the only one of the "big three" to win each major at least twice, and the fact that he has winning records against both Nadal and Federer, I think he now has to be regarded as the greatest of the three.

Never did I think for one second that Berrettini would win that match. Seems like Mateo put everything into eking out that first set.

I'm just surprised that the match was four sets, it felt like five.

Congratulations to Nolé. Other than the first set, he made Mateo dance to his tune. Also, I don't know of a player who doesn't volley who can win Wimbledon. Pliskova and Berrettini do not appear to know how to volley.

Same

The winner was never in doubt. Matteo came in super nervous and all the battling back in the first left him with nothing. He seemed relieved it was over and was all smiles as the runner up.

For all its glitz and glamour the winner gets a miniature replica trophy.😂

I think, up until the very early 00s, the winner's trophy used to be the same size as the display trophy. I can't remember what year they began to give those mini replicas. I want to guess, maybe by 2005, or 2006? I'm too lazy to try to check when.
