Members Faulkner
Haha! I saw! Good that Kiki B could do what Kiki M could not. In less happy news: I saw that Lajović took out Delpo.
Members Faulkner
Whoa. Kvitova took Kasatkina out to slaughter. Good semi matchups with Kvitova/Pliskova and Garcia/Bertens. The men’s matchups for the quarters look fun too. Nadal/Thiem. A Miami rematch between Sascha and Isner. A young gun battle between rivals Shapovalov and Edmund. The only one not as interesting is Anderson and Lajović.
Members Soapsuds
The match lasted an hour. Kvitova played well. Thiem and Edmund are giving me life. Please register in order to view this content Isner ugh.....he sucks.....tie breaker sets again because his return game sucks Shocked DelPo lost. I was watching and found it rather boring and watched the Thiem/Coric match instead.
Members Faulkner
THIEM! Let’s see if he can hold things together unlike last year in Rome. He’s never beaten Kevin Anderson, but of course they’ve never played on clay, Thiem’s best surface. Nadal has always been most vulnerable on the Madrid/Rome swing, peaking at Roland Garros. Members DramatistDreamer
Yup. Also Madrid is likely to be seen as the least valuable run-up tournament to the French.

Members Faulkner
That was a gutsy win. I missed the first part of Eurovision because I was glued to that match.

Members ChitHappens
Yes but I'm super happy with the results. Petra is one of my favs! Nadal's out so I'm gonna skip the men's final tomorrow.
Members Faulkner
It must suck to do the dirty work of defeating Nadal in a clay Masters 1000 tournament and not win the title. And it’s happened to Thiem twice in a row.
Members DramatistDreamer
Maybe because he makes beating Nadal the goal, instead of winning the tournament? I'm not knocking Thiem, Nadal is clearly the king of clay but Rafa obviously looms so large for Thiem that he may not be able to see past that to what needs to happen next.
