Earlier today, I reported on Adrianne Leon's sad revelation that she was abruptly fired from her role as Colleen Carlton on The Young and the Restless.

Well, the CBS sudser has just issued a recast announcement!

Australian actress Tammin Sursok is the new Colleen. Sursok's first tape date is Tuesday, June 26. She will first air on Monday, July 30.

The 23-year-old Sursok is best known as Dani Sutherland on the long-running Aussie soap Home and Away. She won Australian TV Week's Logie Award for best new female talent in 2001.

The Y&R folks seem fond of casting Aussie suds stars these days. FYI, Daniel Goddard (Cane) is also a former Home and Away castmember.

..............Disgusting........absolutely disgusting. If she was terminated for her weight gain, she should sue the hell out of Y&R. I know that soap stars are supposed to keep their bodies in good condition, but first of all.....AL isn't fat. Secondly...her weight gain is a direct result of a medication she is taking. I can't believe that big assed oompa loompa fired AL!!!!!!!

I haven't watched Y&R at ALL this week. And I don't even care. The show has been in the toilet for months now and this move just solidifies my decision not to watch.

I am pissed that Y & R is recasting with this skinny b!tch. Colleen is Tracy's daughter and needs to be a real woman.

Also, Y & R is making a real mistake recasting. There are WAY TOO MANY characters that viewers have no interest in already - Ji Min, Adrian, Will, Paul's g/f, etc. Plus, nobody has accepted the Victoria miscast. I barely watch this show anymore. The writing is terrible and the people I care about have left or don't act like themselves.

It's senseless, pathetic, horrendous drivel - haven't watched a single scene / episode in nearly 3 weeks and am totally fine with it. I couldn't justify it with my conscience otherwise anymore.

Last Friday's episode really pissed me off, and the news of Adrianne being fired really sent me over the edge. I haven't missed an episode of Y&R since I became a daily watcher (again) in 2003. I don't miss the show one bit!!

Again I am just so over this! Adrienne Leon made this role her own through a suck ass storyline with Bradley and his Reliquary (sp?) and her and Adrian had such amazing chemistry! If LML did fire her because of her weight, if it comes out that this happened I'm turning Y&R off until LML has been railroaded out of Genoa City! This sucks...and I swear if I am still watching when this new actress debuts and she has an accent I am over it!!!
