Just cancel the damn show!

ATWT already doesn't use half of it's cast, mainly the mature characters. Why bring SHeila a played out villian when you need to write for Barbara, Margo, Lucinda, Lisa, Lily, Susan, etc.? There is no need for her!

This show is a total disaster! Hopefully this is a rumor.

Kimberlin Brown as a recast of an important character the show NEEDS, would be great. But Sheila is a total disaster and a slap in the face to Colleen Zenk Pinter especially since it would be a similar role. Throw in the bad writing and Sheila fans won't be cheering after about a week.

Come on, Kimberlin Brown is not [sITE NAME NOT ALLOWED]. LOL Most people have never heard of her. [sITE NAME NOT ALLOWED] is someone like Eileen Fulton or Susan Lucci. Speaking of Eileen Fulton, why not give her a much deserved story on ATWT? Or Liz Hubbard? Or Scott Holmes? Or any number of people.

I not a big fan of Kimberlin's acting, but if she had to come to ATWT, I would prefer her playing Sabrina Hughes who could bring a child back with her and beef up the Hughes population.

If she plays nuts again, then she's basically being considered a one trick pony.

I agree with Roger...Kimberlin is good, but daytime royality? I think of royality as those people who made daytime their career: Francis Reid, Erika Slezak, Susan Flannery, Susan Lucci and when it comes to CBS the royality there is Jeanne Cooper, Helen Wagner, Eileen Fulton.

Of course people from other countries are going to know KB because B&B is big over there, just like we all know her here in the USA, but the character needs a rest and if the character must return then the only place should be on B&B. At least she has histroy there with characters that she would know. Showing up in Oakdale just because makes no sense to me as a lifelong viewer of the CBS lineup. If ATWT was in a good position with their show and balanced then I would say yes come over to shake things up but this is just a blantant attempt to shock viewers and it will for about a day and then the ratings will fall flat again.

Why not give Kimberlin the opportunity to come do something fresh, something new as a new character if the story and the writing is there, not just the same old story! And what would Shelia's story be in Oakdale, once you get past the whole she's ready to start a new life angle? Who would she interact with? Who would her romantic interest be? How long would she stay there? You know and it would also be good if did bring Shelia to interact with veterans of ATWT and no I don't do not mean Brad Snyder or Gwen Munson...we shall see, we shall see!

Remember.....everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Kimberlin may not be [!@#$%^&*] to some, but she's a goddess among peasants to others. Let's remember that and not try to make anyone feel stupid for liking her or disliking her.

This public service announcement was brought to you by the SON Administration.

:)

.....we're always watching.....

    • I really have no problem with Kai as a character or with the actor. The problem is putting together two very nice people -- Kai and Trina. Neither of them has a bad side, neither of them has a devil on the shoulder, neither of them is impulsive. I think that's a problem in a soap relationship. Yeah, I agree. All this freaking out might make sense if Lulu wanted to do a tabloid expose on BLQ's LOVE CHILD. We have no indication that's the case.
    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
