Well now the notice that WAS on CBS.com a little while ago about today being the new opening is gone and there is NOTHING about a new opening at the moment.

I didn't tape today's episode, so I haven't seen today's show, but I CANNOT BELIEVE that ONCE AGAIN the new opening is delayed. Jesus, ATWT can't even get their dates right anymore...

They've removed all traces of the announcement from the website.

What a [!@#$%^&*] sell-out, honestly. I rewound my tape to the last couple of minutes to see the "On the next..." tag, but it was still the old blue/white one. I figured they'd just continue to use it until they make new bumpers to correspond with the new opening, but NOPE.

Luckily for me, I just fast-forwarded to the opening, so I did not see the Jack and Katie kiss.

Interestingly though, for the Food Network fans, I see that Sandra Lee has a brand new opening today...

I bet the delay is a result of SB and, maybe, MW and/or ZR. Those actors are significant enough that they could have delayed. Big deal. It'll eventually appear. I'd rather have a great opening with people like MW and SB than a lame one. Anyway, as long as the stories are good, the opening doesn't matter.

I agree, but the thing is...well...the stories are far from good on ATWT right now lol. Having a nice, brand new opening would make me want to at least give the show some kind of a chance. Being stuck in blue and white increasing-decreasing circle hell is making the show worse for me.

They have had more than enough time to put SB and MW into the opening. Shame upon you ATWT!

They had plenty of time to put Scott B. in it, take Zach R. out, and maybe photo-sop Maura in it.

However, I hear Maura is now back at the studio and has been for a week or two. Maybe they had to re-schedule in order to tape her segment for the opening.

Or maybe..........the aliens got the tape and took it back with them to further analyze Earth's long-lasting pop culture phenomenon known as "soaps".

No, I doubt it. How hard would it be to get her to come in just to film some glamour shots? If you were on maternity leave, wouldn't you mind coming in one day just to film those? I would want to be included in my show's new opening. We can't put this on the actors. This is all PGP or the production company they hired to create the opening (if it wasn't done by in-house).

The whole "now you see it and now you don't" news about the opening is pathetic. Not to mention how they keep dodging all opening related comments on the blog.

The problem with PGP is that they don't even have a PROFESSIONAL outlet online. A blog? That's great, but give your shows a site at least. You would think that with the official message boards they would get a clue from the posters and fix the show.

For the outsiders, this thread hasn't reached 9 pages just because of a damn opening, its because of all the bullshit fans have to go through just to see an opening. There hasn't been this much buzz surrounding our show since it turned 50 last year.
