March 14, 200718 yr Member I think the following are this year's MAJOR oversights: Best Drama Series- General Hospital Best Lead Actor- Michael E. Knight (AMC), Peter Reckell (DAYS) Best Lead Actress- Nancy Lee Grahn (GH) Best Supporting Actor- Jacob Young (AMC) Best Supporting Actress- Kelley Mennighan Hensley (ATWT), Beth Chamberlain (GL) And here they are, this year's WTF??!?! Nominations Best Lead Actor- Ricky Paull Goldin- WTF? Christian J. LeBlanc- WTF? Best Lead Actress Jeanne Cooper- WTF? Best Supporting Actor Greg Rikaart- WTF? Best Supporting Actress Rebecca Herbst- WTF? Renee Elise Goldsberry- WTF? Best Younger Actress Alexandra Chando- WTF? Note- I really liked Alex Chando when they were giving her lighter, fun material and thought she deserved it for that. But the dramatic stuff..............OY I agree with everything you said
March 14, 200718 yr Member Jennifer is going DOWN!! Julie can out act Jennifer with her eyes closed, with PMS and mute. Why? Because Julie is a natural. A natural gift who though at times can be a little over the top, she is more consistant than any other younger actress out right now. Julie better win, or like Rick Hearst....I'll eat my hat. Julie Berman is good, but she's not all that, LoL

March 14, 200718 yr Member Jennifer Landon is taking it home in Younger Actress. Julie is good but Jen has it won by a long shot. Landon doesn't stand a chance in HELL this year. It's between Berman and Gatschet. Berman's got it, but wouldn't be surprised if the voters chose Gatschet.
March 14, 200718 yr Member Julie Berman is good, but she's not all that, LoL In terms of GH, yes lol. I like GH, but they aren't the most natural bunch (Laura, Maurice, Kristen, Igo...)

Although I find SG bland at times, I pretty much agree. Then again the best younger actress isn't even in the competition. Maybe next year Khalil.

March 14, 200718 yr Member Here they are, 2006's Outstanding Leading Duo I present- future Emmy winners Michael Park & Maura West!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-22lptRnTG4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViyCfTA206o...ted&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySMoFLvjQgA...ted&search=
March 14, 200718 yr Member It's between Berman and Gatschet. Gatschet was OK, but Marcy Rylan was better and she was snubbed. *if* Gatschet gets the win, I think she'll be riding Tom Pelphrey's coattails.
March 14, 200718 yr Member I hope Berman wins. I enjoyed her during the Luke and Laura storyline. Jennifer has already won last year. And Gatschet is a blah actress. I wonder if I will get bashed again for my post?
March 14, 200718 yr Member Best Younger ActressAlexandra Chando- WTF? Note- I really liked Alex Chando when they were giving her lighter, fun material and thought she deserved it for that. But the dramatic stuff..............OY Like I said before you dont need dramatic stuff to get an Emmy Nomination. Alexandra Chando can do a lot as an actress.
March 14, 200718 yr Member Why can't OLTL walk away with it? Y&R, meh I wouldn't care. But OLTL deserves its spot IMO. Why everyone is so against it, when the entire daytime lineup was a clusterfukc last year boggles my mind. You rock! I think it's a [!@#$%^&*] riot that OLTL is nominated, and I'm not going to pretend I'm not proud. Other shows have been nominated for crappy years before, and the fans were always happy and excited for them nonetheless. I am looking forward to seeing my show get a segment with clips, etc. We all know the Emmys are a G.D. joke. So, I say kudos to OLTL for learning from its "big sister." After all, how many times has GH had an overall POOR year but managed to land not only the nomination but the win as well? So yeah, this year they actually had a good year and didn't land a nod. Well, that has happened to OLTL how many times? And the fact remains: GH still did awesome this year, pulling in Writing, Directing, and several acting nods. The Emmys lost all respect years ago. This is a business, and if OL was smart enough to submit lame Sweeps Stunt material and get the nod, good for them. Most of the other shows have done it before. The fact that Dan and Heather got nods in spite of their shoddy treatment by ABC shows that people did watch the tapes and judge some of the actors, at least, on quality. March 14, 200718 yr Member Like I said before you dont need dramatic stuff to get an Emmy Nomination. Alexandra Chando can do a lot as an actress. True- but I'm saying that she DID have dramatic stuff, but didn't hit her marks. I'm just hoping that's not what she submitted is all..... And, for more convenient viewing of the undeniably marvelous acting of Michael Park & Maura West, check out THIS THREAD! ***waits patiently for Maura's wedding dress scenes to show up on youtube***
