It is clear to me that most of the hold-overs from the Riche days clearly prefer her and miss her. She had a great rep in the soap business, she made GH dominate the Daytime Emmys in the 90s, and she got great ratings for the venerable show. Why in the world was she fired, and why in the world hasn't another soap snatched her up?!

OLTL is still the only ABC soap who hasn't lost a long time standing vet, instead they are re-signing them to contracts and promising them stories.

Meanwhile GH and AMC are firing vets left right and centre.

I applaud Leslie and Tony Geary. His comment rings so true with the state of ABC daytime. If your a vet, you go to work everyday thinking in the back of your mind, is this the day they tell me I am fired.

Bastards!

don't forget Y&R...it's right up there. First Jerry Douglas, then Eileen Davidson and now VR has asked to be let out.

It's terrible that Guza is so consumed with MB and SB and all that mob crap. I have always loved the Q's and they were always my favorite part of GH.

Ned, Lois, Alan and Monica. I miss all the family fighting and interaction they had with each other. This is just despicable.

Don't forget Justus, AJ and Brooke Lynn too. They are gone. There needs to be a core families on every show and the Q's were the best. Who's going to be the patriarch, Jason? I don't think so.

It's really sad that Tony Geary is worried about his job. He must make a lot of money for GH and the fact that he is worried scares the crap out of me. Frons is an ass who needs to learn how to respect the veterans.

Kudos to LC for speaking out... I hope she isn't next.

GH is not worth watching anymore.

Oh - also about JFP - LK posted on her board that Jill basically came up to her and said that "if you think GH is your place to shine, it never will be."

I hate that cow JFP she lets everything slip through her fingers and ruins everyone. She's a soap mafioso.

Whatever - I hope SD can find something, even for someone his age. The soaps are going to hell.

I'm glad you pointed that out, Tz.

Leslie, while she should be applauded for most of her comments, was HORRIBLY WRONG for quoting a PRIVATE comment. Tony must be LIVID with her for this. If he did lose his job, he frankly would have grounds for a lawsuit. I hate to say it but she did compromise his right to privacy -- and potentially place his job in a vulnerable position.

I have to add something: far too many people think they can spout off like Leslie did. They see it on TV, how one character says "Oh, so and so said this the other day..." and they think it's okay. But people, it is NEVER, NEVER okay to say, "Oh, Jan told me yesterday that she had sex with Dick, Harry and Mr. Johnson last weekend." That's violating Jan's right to privacy -- in this example, to be a slut, it seems. Please, if you take ANYTHING away from this interview, LEARN that what Leslie did in the interview was not okay. And shame on the mag, if true, for making a pull quote out of HEARSAY! Who's to say he even said that? It's likely he did,but still...that's poor journalism.

Exactly. He's voiced comments that are just as forthright over the years, anyway. He's never hesitated to criticize TIIC loudly. Ironically, though, his comment about "all vets over 40 should know where their coats are" probably doesn't apply to him IRL. Tony Geary has been GH's moneymaker for years. They accomodate him for his vacations and with generous contracts. So, really, of all the people who should be in fear for their livelihood over there, he is WAY far down Frons's list of "Who to Fire."

Even though I read the spoilers, I was a little surprised that Days went there Ari and Doug III. I won't say it's out of character for Doug III but I didn't expect it when he first heard it was happening. I'm interested in seeing where they go from here. I hope Tate finds out somehow and tells Holly about it. That could be a pretty good mess. But at the same time, their scenes felt rushed. We should have seen more of Ari and Doug III both at the Bar and at the Salem Inn  Doug III looked hot though. And Ari got to have scenes with Marlena too. I really hope that Days establishes a relationship between the two of them. I'd love to see it play out onscreen. And we got an update about Will and Sonny. But again, all this talk about John  I enjoyed the Holly/Doug III scenes too. I liked the way that she helped him today and comforted him about everything that happened with Julie. I'm curious to see how he's going to make things right with her. Belle is dumb but I always love the sibling scenes between her and Brady. I like that they have each other to talk to about how messy their lives are. And I actually don't mind Belle being dumb. I actually find it to be pretty interesting. Surprisingly, she seems messier than Shawn. Btw, now I'm starting to wonder if Tate being sick actually is gonna mean something. Or if Leo Howard just needed some time off. As for Shawn and Steve, their scenes didn't do much for me until the end of the episode. It set things up for tomorrow and I can't wait to see it. Brandon Beemer actually did a pretty good job too. As for the final scene... Idk.

    • per the description on the official GH youtube account, from the clip posted above:  the character Gio was performing "Glow", an original piece that the actor Giovanni Mazza co-wrote and released when he was only 12 years old.
    • I think what they're doing with Hayley being isolated with Bill goes back to when he wanted her to quit her job at the firm and become a “Real Housewife of Fairmont Crest.” But we've seen she hasn’t, so she should be out there mingling—maybe with Caroline—or deciding to join some league or chapter, involving Dani, Anita, or Nicole. I also wouldn’t mind seeing her in more scenes with Derek, since she’s one of the few people who can make him tolerable and less dull. Or what if she bonds with Eva? They’re both outsiders in the community and constantly made to feel like trash by the Duprees.   I’d love to have my theory finally come to light—that Leslie’s mother is actually Sharon. Maybe Leslie is bitter toward Nicole and the rest of the Duprees because she believes her mother should’ve had the kind of fame and fortune Anita has if things had gone differently, especially if her mother had the vocals—i.e. Dreamgirls, Effie. I remember Leslie saying she listened to the Articulettes growing up, and she also mentioned she lived in Chicago—where, guess what? The Articulettes are from.
    • Ranger, will you be his champion?! Tell Dante to back the he&l off? Be there for him in the coming days when he is going to be furious & possibly turn his back on the Cerullos & the Qs & show up at Sonny's door looking for a new place to park his weary head? As for me, I watched the NB every year even when I wasn't watching GH. Many years have been disappointing. So far this year is amazingly satisfying. Clothes! Performers! Drama!  So ironic that they actually have Cam doing what we always said he should be doing, emcee, tux, mic, huge toothy grin! Snark! Could they possibly throw any more shade? Nooo! This is like 100% attitude coming from all directions. You could say I died & went to heaven. Gimme all this high school talent show soapy goodness, I mean, it's only 4 days, what kind of wimp are you, anyway? As soap fans, we are supposed to enjoy these occasional flights of fancy. Maybe you aren't, but I sure as he&l am! And, I won't let any Debbie Downers ruin it for me, either. This brief early morning message was brought to you by the letter N for what else Nurses Ball.
    • I have seen little of Wally, but I always think of the backstage story Julia Barr (I think it was Julia) told where he hated his character and storylines so much that at one point he put some form of clown makeup on in his dressing room to show his feelings.
    • Happy Birthday Giovanni Mazza!!

        Understandable
    • She's beyond awful. She needs to be sent away. We know that's not going to happen.
