February 2, 200719 yr Member This is not the show's fault. DAYS' budget doesn't allow the big four (John, Marlena, Bo and Hope) to be on as much anymore. Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols have a very low pay and that's why we see them more than the other two supercouples. I love how everyone makes these excuses? That's silly IMO. Is there a published print out of their budget available for everyone to see? Not to be mean or anything... but it all sounds like BS to me. The point is not only about the "big 4". How do you start storylines and just forget about them. And have storylines that revolve around newbies? Even Steve and Kayla's storyline has been sitting in the dumps for over 6 months. If this was another HW writing this they would be slammed IMO. Just because it is Hogan does not make this good. And the budget excuses are just that... excuses. No one is asking to see them five days a week but at least have them on, let their stories progress and do not take familiarity from the show so drastically.

February 2, 200719 yr Member Can't please everyone... You can roll the eyes all you want . DAYS HAS to try and please the MOST people if it plans on setting up for this big future everyone thinks it has or even making it until then. This is not doing it. Budget is a dumb excuse, if that's the case then I guess for the next 2 years everyone must accept the Nick/Chelsea, Shelle and sometimes Lumi show? BS.
February 2, 200719 yr Member It was a good show. Nothing special. Loved the Nick/Chelsea stuff and there were some great Shelle scenes. I love when Victor made that comment to Willow when she was eating the ice cream about it dripping. Ok show. Nothing special but not terrible. Loving JKJ though.
February 3, 200719 yr Member LOVED this episode! Victor's line to Willow about her dripping was hilarious! And...my goodness, after this episode I had to do it.....look at the new part in my sig..... I can't believe I put that in my sig but I had to.
February 3, 200719 yr Member I'm still not feelin' Jay Johnson as "evil" Phillip. I hate how he screams every flucking line. And he doesn't even scream well! He sounds like a little boy in the grocery store, screaming for his mommy to buy him a candy bar. Not menacing or scary in the least... HUGE MISCAST, IMO.

Jay plays a delciously evil Philip. The previews for today's show, when he wast talking to Belle, that was intense.
February 3, 200719 yr Member I like JKJ in the role but I agree he's yelling too many of his lines, clenching his jaw and just raging ... I'm not sure at this point if Phillip is supposed to be calculating or just hell-bent on a mission.
February 3, 200719 yr Member I only like him when he's not screaming. When he's quieter and deliberate... it's great.
February 3, 200719 yr Member I only like him when he's not screaming. When he's quieter and deliberate... it's great. In other words, you like him when his mouth is shut. Me too.
February 3, 200719 yr Member LOL. Well, there is that. But he has moments, like his one-liners to Willow, or just his quiter, evil moments... love it. His character, I think, is being written deliberately to still be a bit whiny- just consider his conversation wih Victor. He's being childish in a very obvious way ands Victor tried to set him straight, but do we think this will last? I don't. When Philip matures I hope the screaming will subside.
February 3, 200719 yr Member That's a good point, and I'd rather watch Phillip's progression on his way to becoming calculating and such rather than have him just instantly be it.
February 3, 200719 yr Member Exactly. He's well on his way... but we should see some of the transformation, God damn it.
February 3, 200719 yr Member Now, I loved JKJ as Phil. But he's reminding me too much of Jason Cook right now.
