I never saw anything of the other thread but let me say THIS SUCKS DONKEY BALLS!!!! First of all, for PETE'S sake, if ED was going to continue playing Ashley Abbott, then she belongs on Y&R. Period.

No way does Ashley fit in to B&B IMO. B&B is camp and sorry- Ash is not camp. Not one bit.

Maybe B&B/Y&R became fearful of DAYS taking over the 1 PM timeslot and did some damage control- who knows! All I know is this is MAJORLY disappointing.

Poor Eileen. And this only makes me angrier about Amber being on Y&R- what a friggin mess! This makes me want to watch B&B and Y&R even LESS than I already do.

On a side note- tylerbo- Roll out the red carpet. I've got a hunch you're going to get Vivian back after all!

Greg, I wondered in the other thread where you were. Just before it closed I posted that I wondered what you would think about this. All along you felt that Y&R got rid of her because Days needed her so bad now.

I am really shocked by this, but am excited she is still going to be Ashley - who I love so much.

I agree with you in your other posts, Vivian does seem like the type of character Hogan would lose his wad over. She is so Barbara Ryan and he loved writing for her.

As I said in the other thread, I think if the rumors are true about Susan coming back it will be short term to solidify EJ's parentage, and will either be recast or done in some stupid way like Stefano's return was.

I think they'll likely do something like Stefano, or there will be a throwaway scene where EJ gets into something he did which led him down the path towards true DiMerahood (likely offing Susan in some way or another).

And Vivian? A boy can only hope! Under a good writer, we could see a complicated relationship develop between her and Philip. And I want to see her vs. John revisited a bit - perhaps with knowledge of his paternity. Maybe she'd even being cahooting with EJ. It'd be interesting if Kate and Vivian foudn a way to clash over EJ and not Victor, LOL.

I read this earlier at work, but didn't have time to post..I'm bummed about ED going to B&B, i agree she belongs back on Days..But oh well, its Days's loss..Hopefully they can get another big name back..and Vivian would be pretty big...

See, I don't think it's gonna go that way. Eileen is a much bigger name than Dax Griffin and Ben Hogestyn combined. Not to mention all of the other blink-and-you-miss-them characters that have popped lately. Eileen is a soap veteran and I don't see Bell letting her slip away too fast. Especially since she's best known for being on the other Bell soap.

Rick Hearst was a soap veteran. So was Kimberlin Brown. Sarah Buxton was a big soap star at the time. It doesn't matter. Brad Bell has no vision for his show and its stories beyond 13 weeks, thats why B&B is always an inconsistant mess.

Wel, ED fans, I wouldn't get my hopes up for her staying very long. As us viewers know, Bell makes a big deal out of hiring "star" people and running out of storyline for them after just a few months. I'm sure this will be the same. There's already too many women and not enough men on B&B, so it will be interesting to see what pairings and triangles (because we all know Bell loves incest and triangles) Bell will come up with, and which lady will be sacrificed to make room for Ashley Abbot. Hunter Tylo's contract is coming up soon, one can only hope it's her.

Was Brad Bell at Y&R when Ashley was introduced? Maybe the big difference in ED and other "names" is that he knows this character and actress.

As one of the few who didn't want to see the return of Kristen and the 10,000 characters (sorry, gang... lol) kudos to B&B for snapping up Eileen. I wonder if this was the plan all along.
