You know, I wouldn't be upset with Passions being cancelled becuase of low ratings or because JER wanted to end it. But becuase Passions is being cancelled for a 4th hour of Today just makes me angry.

It's really in NBC's hands, though.

They still own the show.

I can't see them selling it to someone else... I just don't see it happening.

At the same time, I can't see them continuing the show with its full budget on the internet. That just isn't gonna happen.

They may say they're "trying" to find a new outlet for PASSIONS, but it'll never happen. It'll go the same way that AW was supposed to move to ABC.

WOW! You really do hate Passions don't you? Couldn't you simply have changed the channel? Not that it matters now of course, but.....................

Passions in primetime on MyNetwork TV might be interesting though. A primetime budget and for sure network heads giving JER ultimatums, who knows how great it would be.

Well, to all Passions fans, NOW is the time to start a letter writing campaign to MyNetworkTV and SoapNet, telling them that you want the show aired on their networks.

Still sucks for daytime, though. And definitely sucks for Days.

I'm more worried about MyNetworkTV as a WHOLE! There's no way I want my 5-day a week guilty pleasure replaced with UFC and movies. And definitely NOT PASSIONS!

I LOVE PASSIONS! You just need to calm down and come to grips with reality. I'm just as upset as you are. But I'm not going to pretend that PASSIONS will go on when it won't. Calm the hell down!

Alright, people.

I will not have MY thread closed because of petty crap.

Stop it.

You know Passions would probably fit in on The CW. Afterall they seem to have had alot of supernatural themed shows. Buffy, Charmed, Rosewell, Smallville and that show about angel. Too bad The CW isn't in the hunt for a soap. JMO

Sorry to the fans of Passions that are losing their show...But honestly, i was never a fan...The show went way to slow with nothing happening for my liking...Hopefully JER will wrap the show up nicely, and finally answer questions and resolve some of the stories..if indeed the show does end for good..

Careful what you say. You might get your head bitten off.

Because "Passions" is such a strong brand among young femmes, it's believed NBC will try to find a way to keep the show alive somewhere other than the network. An Internet platform is a possibility, while NBC might also talk to Disney to see if the conglom would be interested in producing a shortened version of the sudser for its successful SoapNet cabler.

Another potential home might be News Corp.'s barely breathing MyNetwork TV, which has had no luck drawing auds with its cheaply produced telenovelas.

So does this mean NBC is willing to sell the show to another network?

This sucks for Canadian Passions fans, who don't get SoapNet.

Errol, Rick, someone please remove the bickering from this thread.

I'm not going to have MY thread shut down for idiotic crap.

They don't necessarily have to sell the show to another network.

They can still produce the show and broadcast it on another network.

Well I hope something can be done for fans of the show.
