SN and MBE were great today, but ... I don't know if I'm just in a persnickety mood, but the effects on this show are just killing me. I would've much preferred if the flashbacks were kept normally colored. I agree that the pacing and sequencing of the flashbacks were great. And I still loved the acting, especially when Steve was stuck in the past ... Steve! It's you! Welcome back, dude!

Teen set was nice. Yet still you can see the rushing of things. They could've let a few days go before they showed that Chelsea was so enamored that she was willing to accept Billie and Steve. Maybe I'm the only one bugged by these things. The intentions are appreciated though.

Judi Evans was funny today as was Scott, but my thing about EJ is I'm still wondering what kind of bad guy he is. If he's supposed to be a coldly rational type then blowing the cash just to keep Bonnie away from him seems extravagant. That was just inefficient, and I was getting the impression that EJ is the "tight ship" kind of boss. Obviously I'm nitpicking, it's just that every now and then it occurs to me how the plot still writes the characters instead of the other way around, at least for the new characters ... which makes sense and is totally normal, unless it clashes with something suggested last week. Anyway, still a lot better than before, at least the plot that's driving some of the characterization is clicking along nicely.

Except for Bope. Now it's just going through the motions.

I loved this show! It was one of the shows that even though I knew what was coming, I still found myself cheering at the end. Kudos to MBE and SN. I like that the storylines are moving along nicely. I guess it can sometimes seemed rushed, but at least we are not in JER mode anymore. We had Shawn being honest with Belle, Chelsea beginning to find out who her mystery man is, Steve getting his memory back, and then EJ threatening Patrick. I'm looking forward to the next part of the Steve/Kayla story.

This show is amazing right now. It's just hard to believe what a mess it was in just a few short months ago, and how far it has come. Hogan is really starting to pick it up a knotch or two, and he's is giving us what we've clamoured for.

The last time I enjoyed Days this much was the 1992-1993 era, if I enjoyed it that much then. It may not have been this good since the mid eighties. It's got my attention again.

My favorite part of the show was Steve and Kayla by far. I'm glad he has his memory back, but I'm waiting for the next roadblock for this duo. It just can't be this easy for them, and I expect some trouble for them.

Nick Fallon is terrific!! What an awesome addition to the show! At first a saw him as a good history reference, but now I seem him as the next male star of Days. The Days casting department has been on fire (with the exception of Rose playing Stephanie...).

The only thing that irks me is Bope. I trust this will have a great payoff, but I'm ready for the madness to end.

The only way to get rid of the special effects is to get rid of Steve Wyman. I think I remember reading an interview a few years ago about how proud he was with those special effects. I don't get it, but all the flashing/non-color stuff is on him....

I enjoyed the whole show but most of the time with Hogie's writing I do that anyway. It's interesting how he's brought Bonnie into the story this week with EJ. We got to see another side to EJ's character, which was fun. Also, I don't think that it was a mistake for EJ to toss money away at Bonnie like that. Usually, Dimeras/Dimera operatives are pretty calm, smooth and collected when dealing with problems. Assuming that EJ is a Dimera, maybe even related to Stefano, maybe EJ takes after his mother more than his father/grandfather/other relative? Maybe his mother was erratic, unable to follow instructions correctly even when threatened by Stefano himself. So, if EJ makes mistakes that a normal Dimera would not make or act unlike most Dimeras, perhaps that's the reason why?

IA about Bonnie's involvement. See, this is the thing, if you have a fun character, ON CONTRACT, why not use them?? Hogan is doing a better job with JER's character than JER ever did. Bonnie has purpose and Evans Luciano is fun to watch.

Also Mary Beth Evans is just amazing, more amazing than Nichols lately (he's been doing this "I remember" bit for the past few weeks so, but still he was good). Kayla is Kayla now, the one from the 80's that I remember. Evans is such a great actress but they really mis-used her when she first came back. I can't wait for this mystery to begin finally, and finally have some REAL material for S&K.

I'm still meh on Kayla.

Steve is wow just amazing. My mom used to gush about him and his acting. Now I get it. He's a damn fine actor.
