Last time JKJ was brought on the show as a recast for Brandon Tyler, the character of Phillip had just been severely beaten up and needed plastic surgery to repair his face/injuries. That's when JKJ was brought on.

Now, Phillip needs a face transplant... enter JKJ again.

we saw him before he had surgery though. But they did say he needed some minor repairs as I recall.

That woman is so awful. I remember her from Babylon 5 where she tried to have chemestry with Bruce Boxleitner and it was just not happenin ... as with every role and man she acts opposite.

I never really saw JKJ since he was on during the teen era which is when I stopped.

I think anyone will be better in the role than Brandt. Just IMHO... So I'm looking forward to this. Plus like everyone said the show needs some familiarity.

It's going to be tricky for them when they want to do Phil flashbacks from the era that JKJ was in, as they cant use the ones with him in them and when they inevitably have to film ones with Martha and Brandon playing a younger Shawn and Belle they'll have to get another actor in to play Phil. It's all going to be very, very confusing because of this face transplant thing.

the show is pretty flashback free since Hogan, so I dont think its going to be an issue.

Yeah. Like Drew said, Hogan hasn't used flashbacks unless it's for the supercouples.

They have never really flashbacked to the teen stories except in Shelle's case where they had flashbacks to Shelle's dancing at the Last Blast or their first kiss (only with Martha in the role and not Kirsten). We probably won't get anymore of those either with Cook gone. It won't be a problem-Days has no reason to even flashback to that time.

According to another site Jay Kenneth Johnson going to come back to DOOL as Philip.

This news sure makes Victor's statement on today's show sound very very stupid. He told Philip that the face of Philip that they knew was going to be gone. If he only been referring to Max in that statement you might could have went along with it, but he was talking about Mimi too. Mimi was on when this Philip was on the show.

That line was so stupid, and stupid to the fans who are familiar with this face of Philip.
