Yeah, Y&R will promise her some big story, just to get her to sign the contract, and then they'll start her storyline and quickly drop it, just like every other Ashley storyline Y&R has done recently.

Y&R doesn't care about Davidson or Ashley. They just don't want DAYS to regain her because they know fans like Kristen better than Ashley.

Ashley's a pure prop. I actually saw her last week (or was it week before last?) on Y&R, and that was the first time I had seen her in a while, and when I watched her all I saw was just a prop.

She needs an actual job, and I am sure that if she realised that and asked to come back to Days, then Corday and Hogan would jump at the chance.

I hope Y&R does everything in their power to keep Eileen. If this is true and not a rumor, I'm sure she'll have a big story next year to prevent her from leaving.

I am all for having her have a big story as long as it has nothing to do with sperm again :P

Well, you do have to take into account that Eileen has a longer history with Y&R than she does with Days. Ashley is also a core member of a core family, the Dimera family is almost non-existent on Days at the moment, even if Stefano is returning. What would be Kristen's purpose? To meddle with John and Marlena again?

With the return of the Dimera's and the EJ rumors, the time is ripe for Kristen to return.

ED is being wasted regardless of her history on Y&R. Last year at the 40th anniversary party, there were rumors that she put out a feeler to Corday to return to Days and this was at the same time that LeAnn Hunley, Mary Beth Evans, and Stephen Nichols all expressed desire to return. We all know that SN and MBE came back so I would not be surprised. It would be a huge thing for Days and would bring many fans back I would think.

Like Drew said, they will promise her a story and two months later she will be backburnered. That is a shame and I hope Eileen is smart enough to only stay if she knows for sure she will be front burner like she deserves. She hasn't had nearly the material on Y&R that she had on Days and with Hogan there Eileen may want a piece of the action.

    • Oups!! I guess when i was doing the editing, i left a part of 3169, too (RTL Lounge airs 2 episodes per day back to back). Sorry about that ! Tonight i ll try to record 3171-3172. If i m not mistaken 3172 is missing from YouTube.

    • I would put Felicia in the 'small dose' auntie category because she means well, but comes on too strongly at times.  In small doses, she would be a blast to hang out with.. but in anything larger than a small... she would be exhausting. I tend to prefer lower key people than people that are always 'on' all the time.  Those people can veer off into energy vampire status pretty quickly.
    • I didn't like the Harry story, but Nazar did have a great introduction. He was probably the highlight of last year.  Now that you mention it, I guess the truly dire stories (Nicole, Harper/Drew/Phil, Nicole) didn't start until summer.
    • thank you all for contributing to the Vault. I am slowly getting towards watching the 1998 episodes

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
    • came across this quote that provides some context: “It’s hard to escape the cultural reach of the Catholic Church when you live in the Western world. It is, for better or worse, one of the load-bearing walls of our civilization. Its influence wafts from the church into the streets of civic life, the courts, the schools, the arts.”
