Members Khan
"I'm sorry, I'm not following." Neither am I, White Dude Who Looks Like Reginald On GH. And like him, I bailed around the 1:30 mark. Seriously, WTF was that!? Edited February 10, 2020 by Khan
Members All My Shadows
That was...interesting, both of them. The performances were funny but yeah, I'm so confused as to the stories they were trying to tell. Why two Dixie Carters? Why Alexis and Dominique as men working in a coal mine? I'm so confused.
Members Khan
Which made no sense either. Seriously, that was some truly awful writing on display. In fact, was it really writing, or was it just SNL blowing LGBTQ dog-whistles? Edited February 10, 2020 by Khan
Members Khan
Well, Pete Davidson done started some mess: https://pagesix.com/2020/02/24/snl-sources-claim-pete-davidson-gets-star-treatment-from-lorne-michaels/

Members DAMfan
on SNL‘s next live show — slated for March 28 — due to the coronavirus pandemic. John Krasinski, whose film Quiet Place 2 has been delayed until later this year, was scheduled to serve as host alongside musical guest Dua Lipa. SNL is currently 16 episodes into its 21-episode 45th season. Beyond the scrapped March 28 outing, NBC is taking a wait-and-see approach with regard to the remaining five shows.
Members DRW50
I think it's 15 episodes in. I know a lot of people hate SNL these days or see it as the enemy, or at best an old dying sign of gluttony, and I get that (in some cases), but it's still one of the few things I can sort of enjoy these days. I hope they may at least be able to finish out the season. Then again if it gets as bad as we're hearing that will be the least of our worries.
Members Gray Bunny
I'm with you. I still enjoy SNL and always stick with it, through its ups and downs.
Members Faulkner
Natalie Portman’s SNL raps will probably always be the best work she ever does.
Members DRW50
Definitely. She's better than a number of people paid to rap these days... Some of the cast have been entertaining fans on their social media through all this quarantining. Heidi Gardner and Ego Nwodim were doing an Instagram Live tonight but I wasn't able to see it - apparently you can only watch on a Smartphone, at the time it's happening.
Members jcar03
If you go to Gardner's insta, you click on her little photo and it will ask you if you want to see her stories or the live video. It is only up for so long unless she saves it.

Members DRW50
Jan Hooks would have been 63 yesterday. Robert Smigel, longtime writer and occasional onscreen player, wrote a lovely series of tweets about her, and also managed to get a Jan sketch he thought highly of unblocked in the US. Here it is. Please register in order to view this content In other news, the show is doing another 'at home' episode this weekend.
Members DramatistDreamer
I came across some SNL clips just now and was struck by this one, which is poignant but also made me chuckle.
Members DRW50
@DramatistDreamer that was such a lovely little clip - the melancholy of it reminded me of what SNL used to do many years ago. I don't miss a lot of the material of those years, but I do miss that aspect. I hope they will bring more back. If any of you want to see Fred Willard's 1978 episode, it is repeating tonight at 10 EST. Sadly only the 60 minute edit, but there are some good sketches I am hoping will show up.
