I might have to start watching more regularly to see how this goes. Edited May 13, 201114 yr by wingwalker
May 13, 201114 yr Member I thought Ashton still made fairly popular films? I think Hugh Grant would have been a better fit for the show but Ashton is OK. But I don't think they will be able to get away with the same crudeness they did with Sheen's character.

Kutcher brings a youthful fan base to the CBS show, as well as a big online profile with 6.7 Twitter followers, which could help CBS promote the show. Wow...6.7 Twitter followers...that is very impressive.
May 13, 201114 yr Member I like Ashton but Hugh would've been better. I agree. Why didnt things work out with Hugh?
May 13, 201114 yr Author Administrator I agree. Why didnt things work out with Hugh? http://www.deadline.com/2011/05/mystery-man-revealed-hugh-grant-almost-replaced-charlie-sheen-on-two-and-a-half-men/ "We hear Hugh flew in and had 2 creative meetings. Things were progressing and he had all but a completed deal when he backed out unexpectedly. 'It was not the money. He didn't want to do TV because those 24 episodes are a grind and a lot of work. At the end he couldn't get his head around doing a series."
May 13, 201114 yr Member Which seems like a lame excuse, cause sitcoms are among the LEAST labor intensive. The only long work day is day they tape in front of the studio audience. Other that, their work days aren't too long & tend to have more hiatuses than dramas do.
May 13, 201114 yr Member They should have just canceled the damn thing. Eight seasons is long enough.
May 13, 201114 yr Member Deadline.com is now also saying that Kutcher to Two & Half Men is a done deal. http://www.deadline.com/2011/05/ashton-kutcher-on-two-and-a-half-men/
May 13, 201114 yr Member Ashton Kutcher's tweet: what's the square root of 6.25? http://twitter.com/#!/aplusk/status/68853308453953536 Which for those bad at math, is 2.5
May 13, 201114 yr Member Charlie Sheen's reaction, if anyone cares... http://www.tmz.com/2011/05/13/charlie-sheen-two-and-a-half-men-ashton-kutcher-cbs-warner-bros-chuck-lorre-wb/
May 15, 201114 yr Member Sorry, but Kutcher is desperate to stay relevant. He's popular but when has the last time the dude had a hit movie? The show will do well with him in the role since crass jokes is his element but in this instant he's no different that Forest Whittaker and Laurence Fishburne.
