September 18, 200718 yr Member I think the buzz it is generating will make it a top 10 hit this year. It is definiately worthy of it. I fell in love with it the first episode.
September 18, 200718 yr Member I dunno it doesn't feel quite like a top 10 to me (but it is nice that it's doing well--I'm used to shows liek this, think Once and Again struggling and then fading away)
September 18, 200718 yr Member I dunno it doesn't feel quite like a top 10 to me (but it is nice that it's doing well--I'm used to shows liek this, think Once and Again struggling and then fading away) This is my worst nightmare but I think B&S has sth. O&A never had: the faith of the network in terms of programming. Let's face it; without the DH-lead-in it would have been dubious whether the show had survived through its very first episodes. I'm SO looking forward to season 2, to my girl Sally Field - most well-deserved Emmy in a looooong time! - and the rest of the cast. Now if the producers just get their butt to Sela Ward's doorstep and hire her for a pivotal role I'd be in heaven. Marin Hinkle is a good start though.
September 18, 200718 yr Member ^^^OMG, Sela ward would be a great addition to the cast, but what role would she play??? An who would she be paired with. I could totally see her as one of Sarah's old friends, but I couldn't see that role being that big seeing how the show is more about the family. I lactually would much rather see Sela on House, she is great with Hugh Laurie's House. As for the show, I think it will be in the top 10 this year, last year had a lot of ups and downs at the beginning but I think they finished off the season strong. An with Rob Lowe joining the cast that is even better. I'm really interested in Nora's storyline with Danny glover, talk about jungle fever.lol An sarah's upcoming storyline for custody of the kids should be interesting, I'm really happy they are divorcing because I felt the actor was not on Rachael Griffiths level, I hope they bring on a strong love interest for her sooner or later. September 19, 200718 yr Member I actually liked the husband figure but I do kinda get where you're coming from. And am all for Sela although I thought she still didn't want a full time TV role right now cuz of her family?
September 19, 200718 yr Member Anyone seen the pilot up yet? I guess I may have to wait till Xmas when I can afford the DVD--mininova torrents has a link for all the discs of the DVD set but I can't find out in any descriptions which disc has the pilot
September 20, 200718 yr Member So the DVD DOESN'T have the pilot?? Ent Weekly's review just said it doesn't
September 21, 200718 yr Member Ah lame the unaired episode is the original second episode which was nearly entirely reshot but with the smae actors and some scenes remaining...
September 23, 200718 yr Member People, I don't like Sally Field, she doesn't have any speech ability and I always have a feeling of a whining person whenever I see her. So, I came across this, from Ken Levine: Every time Sally Field wins an award I wind up saying the same thing, “Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!!!” Play the “get off” music the second her name is announced. Exactly, Ken! Bravo!
September 23, 200718 yr Member Another one from Diane Kristine: Lead Actress in a Drama: Sally Field – nope. Go, Diane! Edited September 23, 200718 yr by Sylph
September 24, 200718 yr Member After watching last nite's recap special, my interest in B&S is renewed. Have to add the B&S Season 1 box set to my X-Mas list now. LOL Edited September 24, 200718 yr by Laurie
September 25, 200718 yr Member I loved sunday's B&S: Photoalbum, I loved that they just didn't show clips of the season but had cast comments about specific episodes and talked about what on behind the scenes. Sylph, who the heck is ken and diane???? I love sally and yes she does have a big mouth and she does need to shut up sometimes.
September 25, 200718 yr Member first off, yay for sally getting the emmy. she deserved it. YAY even more for her speaking her mind!! now onto B&S... I lvoe this show. I love every single person on this show. It is an amazing show and i do belive its the best since Once & Again. I cant wait for season 2.
September 25, 200718 yr Member I thought the Family Album episode was a great intro to the 2nd season. The whole family theme - and 'America's Favorite Family' - sooo great. I had NO idea that the guy playing Kevin had such a huge accent....that was weird. Same with Rachel Griffiths.
September 25, 200718 yr Member Sylph, who the heck is ken and diane???? I love sally and yes she does have a big mouth and she does need to shut up sometimes. The fact is - she should have stayed quiet. She didn't say anything epochal or grandiose! Thus, Sally, SHUT UP! (Addendum: besides, what she said is incorect: mothers - no war?! Yeah, many mothers throught history pitted their sons against someone else's sons... So...) Ken is the famous sitcom writer (The Simpsons, M.A.S.H., Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond...) I have no idea who Diane is... Edited September 25, 200718 yr by Sylph
