I agree. Fans who watched the show back then know Lawrence was directly responsible for this, so to rewrite it would be dumb. Of course, they did the same thing w/Hope that year and Ernesto, so who knows?

As controversial as this may sound I'll say it anyway. Hiring Joe Mascolo does not make up for firing Peck and Clarke. I'm still pretty ticked about that!!!

All of a sudden, WHY is Stefano being mentioned so much lately on DAYS? Why are the mags talking about him so much? Why did he want out of his contract over at B&B? Why is Corday saying that the return of the Phoenix is always possible? I remember him saying that the DiMera's were done.... That's very fishy.

The answer: To return to Days of Our Lives! IMO, of course.

There's no reason for Stefano to have anything to do with Steve's disappearance. Michael Sabatino is available (sort of) so they could easily bring back Lawrence. It's just lazy writing if they use the Dimera angle.

My precise thoughts. I always though tit was ironic that Reilly/Corday brought Nichols/Evans back to DAYS when Reilly was using Sabatino short-term. It's too easy!
