  1. @carolineg About there being secrecy involved, I have no clue. Maybe it was a secret from Susan that Julie was seeing David because she was forbidden to.
  2. Gosh, gee, that was really lovely. DA looks & sounds so good. She really pulled herself together to see her mom. Again today, I love the writing. And I am so excited because this episode has solved a small personal mystery for me. I had it in my head that Stephen Schnetzer had played Julie's brother, Ben Olson. And, he did play Julie's brother, ... Steve Olson. I couldn't figure where I got Ben from. It seemed so random for my brain to change Steve Olson's name to Ben. Here's the answer, Tom & Alice were talking about Ben & Addie. There was a Ben Olson, he was just Julie's father not her brother. Thnx again!
  3. I was looking for something, else, on ATWT's wikipedia page when I saw this: I know that it is in fan lore that an atty. from Oakdale, a Mitchell Dru comes to Bay City for a work reason, maybe, not sure if a reason for his visit was given. (Then, later, Mike Bauer & his daughter Hope came to Bay City) Did Donald go to Bay City? Was it an actual cross-over or was it something that happened offstage? Thnx. Yes, I think that he opened it & when he did he stopped being a doctor. No thoughts of any kind more. If my mother were alive I would call her & ask her. She would know more.
  4. Spoiler Free Content I've just finished watching S2E1 Faith is All and I am entranced all over again. I had forgotten how that woman can walk! When I say she can walk with the best of them I am not exaggerating! It reminds me of when we lived in Brooklyn & I loved the way people walk. Just a temporary implant, there for only 7 years, the best I could do was keep up. The real walkers in Manhattan in the business center during the daytime were simply superb. I'd also forgotten how much she breaks the fourth wall & speaks in asides directly to the audience. I am reminded of the American version of House of Cards. So, that's two things that are back & are fun again! No sign, a'tall, of Sophomore Slump. I like the new co-lead. I'm trying to remember one person from last season. 5/1 Adding: Now I have just a few things to say about actual content in the show, so maybe it won't be spoiler free. Loved the aunt bellowing at her, "Miss Lister WHERE is my niece?!!! Just roaring! And, the way GJ had devised to get Miss Walker away from her family, genius! Capt. Sutherland had gotten 1,000 pounds sterling, I suppose, off of her. AWFUL. Taking advantage. Now.New.Will. Boy, the way she's got it planned they absolutely have to have those reciprocal wills. Dearest Freddy, ... So this ex of hers calls her Freddy. I had a gf nicknamed Fred once. Oh! Her smile when she sees that it is Anne Lister outside approaching. Miss Walker, I mean, of course. And, at the last we see that she is breaking the heart of this person whose name is Maryanna. Sad.
  5. I can see what you're up to! You are going with facts, or consistency, even worse. 🤔 Amazing how these folk with such high moral fiber can turn a corner & everything's the same has become time for a change. But, if they were sleeping together I don't think anyone knew it. Maybe Tom just had good instincts, not that forbidding people to see each other has ever been effective.
  6. This made me laugh. In my house we talked about the Hortons like friends at the supper table. I think my whole family would have been scandalized so even if I hadn't seen something because I was in school, I think it would have been mentioned! I can only say I don't think so. That sounds like a fan version of AltDays. 👏
  7. KZ certainly told the press & every fan she ever had & possibly even strangers on the street what they had to say to her bosses to make sure she didn't get put on the (as if she ever did) back burner. But, I don't believe RN did & I never saw any resulting fan action or mess in the press that he had. Not that it would matter. They were gonna put him where ever they wanted to & he was gonna salute & head over there.
  8. About Anne Heche, Vicky/Marley, and her being proud of daytime in her history ... Yes, she was and, yes, she is. Here's a picture of her at the first stop of what was to have been her book tour. This is the 4th floor of the Barnes & Noble on 14th St. in NYC. This was the night before the World Trade Center attack. I asked the first question. I was with part of the Editors of Soap Opera Digest and they teased me because, of course, I asked her a question about the Love/Hudson twins.
  9. Hey, you, @victoria foxton Thnx for the tag! Thnx for finding & uploading the videos, I can't wait to watch this one tonight! @AbcNbc247 I'll especially look forward to the banter!
  10. Thanks so much for relating the BTS! They seem like lovely people. It sounds crazy that they would let her contract expire but maybe they were more relaxed about things then. Maybe they did more on a handshake. I'm sure he had plenty of people he loved writing for. Flannery & Trish Clayton were the only ones to move from DOOL to Bell, weren't they? And, only Jamie Lyn Bauer, the reverse trip.
  11. Of course, it's Susan Hunter's fault, too. But, it's not that Julie wants some generic guy who has already been married & divorced & who has a child, no, she wants David & she wants David to be an honorable man & do the right thing. Susan Hunter & Julie were best friends before a man came between them. Julie & David were in love before he screwed up one night & now they have consequences. This is classic set-up, iconic relationship stuff where we're going to see what happens if we put these people in this situation. 🤔
  12. Boy, literally is that ever the truth! Here we are looking at half-hour soaps & from the expansion to 60 min soaps to different kinds of camera, editing equipment, philosophy of leadership, costs, etc. they are two different animals.
  13. @vetsoapfan About the hero worship and people worshiping of one individual to the exclusion of all others. This was the recent line elsewhere that just threw me for a loop. said elsewhere: ... weak memorial service for the greatest character in all of television and motion picture history. At first I was speechless but I got over that.
  14. One reason can be the actor's contract. If they're guaranteed to work 4 days a week, then, they're going to write them in action for 4 days a week. They're not going to pay them for 4 days & only use them 2! I believe Grant Aleksander thought that other people deserved to have time on air that he & his contract & his character were gobbling up. He left for awhile.
  15. Awright! I was up at 2. I could've watched it. Now, I'll have to make time instead of finding time. I'll live. Sally Wainright is worth it.
  16. I didn't like him from the moment he walked up. I hated his use of little voices when he was possessed, tho' taking my dislike to a greater degree.
  17. Bill Bell had people so tied up with who wanted to be with whom & who was actually available at the same time, etc. it was a delightfully tangled-up people mess. Susan wanted Scott; Scott was with Julie; Julie wanted Doug; Doug was with Addie. If any of them had ever just been alone with themselves for awhile, they might've gotten their hearts' desire a lot sooner than they did. It reminds me of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
  18. So, I'm getting whiplash from Gentleman Jack info. Last night @ 10:15 when I cashed in my chips there was no Season 2 episode available. I just checked the page just now & there it is! GENTLEMAN JACK S2 E1: Faith is all
  19. I've always appreciated the fact that Anne Heche embraces her beginnings in daytime. She's as at home talking about Marley & Vicky as anything else she's done. Some actors like to bury their past in soaps as if they're somehow ashamed of it. But, sometimes it's not the actor who is guarding their bio that way, it's their handlers.
  20. Well, I really tho't last night was the premiere of S02! Wrong. Not. Did Not Happen. I was disgusted. I just checked out their IMDb page & the next episode field has now changed to read May 1st. Fortunately thats just around the corner.
  21. LTIH: Well, when you put it that way, .. yes, I completely agree 100%. The waits: I'd rather just whine but you have a good point. I'm very excited about tonight! You're really going to wait till Friday, you said? I will try not to spoil you here tomorrow. I'll just be generic flying high, no specifics.
  22. So I'll be your friend And I'll be your lover 'Cause, I know in our hearts we agree We don't have to be one or the other Gloria Loring Friends & Lovers
  23. Finally! Something for me to like about Giovanni! I can't stand the sound of his innie & outie voices so with him tied up & quiet & just showing off his body works for me & I don't even have druthers about the male body. 😜
